when this movie came out i have to admit i sniggered abit when vin diesel said it would win the best picture oscar. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/04/05/vin-diesel-is-convinced-furious-7-deserves-best-picture-at-the-oscars/ however, that was before i saw it. i dont mean its going to win the best picture oscar, and im probably making an arse out of myself here, but i do think its going to get nominated for the best original song. i know not everyone likes wiz khalifa's "see you again" but unless theres a musical coming out over the next few months i think it will get a nod. it fit perfectly with what i thought was a perfectly judged exit for paul walkers character. i went to see this with my dad and at the end we both just kinda just gave each other a nod of approval.... it was the most emotional i have seen him in years

the idea of neither vin diesel nor jason statham turning out of a game of chicken is to me ... perfect. i laughed out loud in the cinema ... why did i think either of them was gonna swerve?

just watched "the blood on satan's skin" ... 70s english folk horror a la the wickerman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkWYY2w02m0 when i was watching it i thought it might have been a parody but it turns out its the film the parodies were parodying ... its really well shot but very dated prime for a nic cage remake

and lets not forget ... blade runner he was on the "i was there too" podcast back at the start of the year ... its worth a listen

would it be bad taste to do this for halloween? a little way of paying tribute to a great movie maker ... and a real gent RIP Wes

i had a really hard time getting through this film. it was not fun. you could feel whoopi's anger in every scene. listening to the ep and getting the background from slashfilm i can now see why. i loved the dinosaurs tv show (rewatched it a couple of summers back and i still laughed). this film kinda spits in its face ... i dont remember smiling once through the whole thing but listening to the ep this made me smile

i was looking for a some fun podcasts about movies a few years ago. i found this and DLM. so i just listened to DLM as it was released and started at the start for HDTGM. took me months to catch up. i would watch 2 or 3 movies a week and then listen to the podcast. i was actually gutted catching up because i knew id only get one ep every 2 weeks rather than every 2 days. the amazing thing is that it hasnt dropped in quality. im constantly surprised by the movie choices and love each episode. big thanks to all involved with the show
