Comedy Bang Bang is canceled because everyone is dead. The following episode has been previously recorded.

I like this one. Might need some minor tooling around, but it's a solid joke. Well done. -
Milk! If you have to pour a white liquid over your cereal this morning, why not make it milk? Milk. Brought to you by the people who brought you Butter, the spreadable mucus that won't make you violently throw up.

I thought that too. It's the point&click adventure thing to do and it translates so well into RPGs. Hang on to that dirty hankerchief and pair of scissors, they will come in handy later. Considering Stargoyle's affinity for souls and souls being the main theme of the villainous Collectors, it makes all the sense in the world. I can see Stargoyle doing something really kickass when time comes to cut off the snake's head. And I am just totally okay with that (as long as it's the players who come up with it).

Those made me drool just a little. I used to have a set of orc-green dice that were 3x normal size, they made a similar noise, but it felt like cheating since they were the D20 was about the size and weight of a golf ball.

I like that some people are defending 4E, because it gets piled on a lot. Yes, the system itself is much more combat-centric and a lot of things have been cut that seem integral to the D&D experience, there's no doubt about that. But on the other hand a lot of those things have always been more up to the disgression of the DM than the rulebook. I myself started playing AD&D in Highschool and then played 3 and 3.5 for years until I moved and basically stopped, due to the pretty common reason of losing track of my old group. I just recently started playing again (in great parts thanks to Nerd Poker) and have decided to run 4E because almost everyone in my group is new to D&D. The combat card system makes playing real easy for people who have neither the books nor the experience to play this stuff off the top of their heads. I think we too often forget that roleplaying can seem very intimidating and exclusive to new players and 4E does a pretty good job to overcome that. In the end no rulesystem can replace a good DM and enthusiastic players and rules should not be there to dictate what you can do, but to umpire what you want to do. I think 4E does as solid a job as any other edition, with some complexity trimmed off to make it more accessible. And that can't be a bad thing. PS: Without a battlegrid 4E is really hard to play for sure. A lot of pushing and pulling is done and combat in general seems less static. On the other hand a battlegrid is pretty helpful in any edition, not to make sure nobody cheats, but because some combat simply becomes overwhelming. Considering the less-than-ideal playing location the Nerd Pokerists are doing a pretty good job at keeping things at least sufficiently fair for everyone. For Glinishmore!

You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar, then serve your honeyed fly dish on a decorative platter over the holiday season.

I blame Bahamut. That guy is a real ballbuster. That said, can't wait for Posehn's next hell-hammering monster.

I just noticed, Amarth Amon could have survived if they had stuck with 4th Edition. As a Goliath he could have reduced the damage by 5 with his racial power and he wouldn't have been reduced to more than his negative bloodied value, would he? Oh well, characters come and go, that's the way it goes. Someone said above how sad it was to lose the Shaman, but without that we would never have met Sir Richard. I can only agree with that.
