Episode 415 - The Longest Pig Pile
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Remember in the early days of Comedy Death Ray when Rory Scovel used to come on as "Rory Scovel" but he was actually doing characters? I feel like Gino is the opposite of that. Jon Gabrus comes on as "Gino", but he's really just Jon Gabrus. -
Preview: The David Gregory Show

Ugh. More anti-comedy. -
Episode 412 - Little Whittle Whistle

I can't believe you guys just define Cameron as a lesbian comedian. She's a lesbian COMIC. I'm tired of all the job title shaming in this thread. -
Episode 408 - LIVE at SXSW 2016
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Gil Ozeri needs to come back on the show. Make it happen. -
Episode 408 - LIVE at SXSW 2016
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
And the audience paid quite a bit of money to watch an 8 minute live advertisement in the middle of a comedy show. -
Episode 399 - Trump vs. Bernie
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
It's not often that you get all three guests doing over-the-top impressions of celebrities. I had to keep reminding myself that wasn't someone doing a Gottfried character. I'm in the camp that enjoyed him btw. -
EPISODE 381 β Kitchen Stand-Up
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I don't enjoy his solo work either, but he is a genuinely funny and likable guy when he's not performing his "character". He's been great on the episodes he's been on, including this one. -
EPISODE 27 - Underneath the Eiffel Tower: Live from Largo
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I think Scott has started to develop adult onset aspergers. -
That's wonderful. What about the Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Podcast Project Podcast Project Pilot?

I've been a listener for a long time so fortunately I already have everything. I guess that's one benefit of the cumbersome old-school way of downloading each episode manually from the website. Old school downloading > streaming.

I'm actually surprised that this Howl business doesn't affect me. I was worried, but as far as I can tell, the new episodes of podcasts I already listen to will still be free from earwolf.com just like they have been for years. I'm also surprised at the price. $5 a month. $60 a year. That's $10 more than Amazon Student, Playstation Plus, and Xbox Live. So, good luck, but this isn't for me.

This is really freakin' my bean. -
EPISODE 336 β NOT Farts and Procreation 4
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I had no idea until I started listening to the intro. It was a crushing blow. It never even crossed my mind that Harris wouldn't make it through his struggle with addiction. I cant handle the rest of the episode right now, but all I know is I'm really gonna miss Harris. He's someone who I always wanted more of, but even more so, I always wanted more FOR him. -
What is this, some sort of cop talk?

Episode 323 β Pie Quiz with Tears for Fears
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Oh my. So badly did I want Roland to say "scraambled eggs" and Curt to reply "ohhh I'm the biggest creep in the world". They sounded so similar to Scott and Pauls 'Beatles' impressions. Lovely gents. My favorite episode of the 2015 ballot. -
Episode 1 β Public Domain with Paul F. Tompkins
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This is awesome. A while ago I had pretty much this same idea for a podcast. I obviously don't have the contacts needed to do it, but I couldn't be happier that it's actually happening and Lauren is the one who's doing it. -
Episode 319 β Return to Suicide House Part Gore
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Anyone who is calling this a re-tread of the old episodes wasn't paying attention. Ghost Boy made it through his entire rap without the background track cutting out, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!! Ground-breaking. (Being serious, I love these Halloween episodes. All of them. I'll love the next one too.) -

you know you can go back and re-listen, right? -

Episode 316 β In the Larp Run
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I have fond memories of listening to Dane Cook for a couple months in high school. Girls seemed to like him, so I seemed to like him too. Sit down close to a girl you like, share your earbuds with her, listen to whatever his special was at the time... Next thing you know, you're flippin through a vagina. But the best memories were after that, when I'd say "Hey, have you heard of Paul F Tompkins?" Give a girl Dane Cook, flip through her vagina for a few minutes. Give a girl PFT, flip through her vagina for a lifetime. -
"What are you doing over there, Todd?" "I'm pooping." More Todd!

I actually think Scott has said "Nasiiimm Pedraaddd" more times than Don Pardo has.

Scott and Scott are legitimately the worlds greatest conversational comedy duo. -
Episode 308 β Superego: Loose Beginnings, Tight Ends
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
On behalf of Matt Gourley, I would like to plug his James Bonding podcast. One of my favorites. (PFT has been on it twice. For those of you who judge podcasts using the PFT scale, it has a PFT rating of 9% (2 out of 22 episodes)) http://jamesbonding.libsyn.com/ -
Episode 307 β Ruthβs Ross Dress For Loss
Professor Grasshopper replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I feel like Jack Black is of the Ben Stiller type. A funny guy who can sometimes come across as maybe taking himself a little too seriously and perhaps being a bit out of touch. It can feel out of place in CBB which is almost entirely about not taking yourself or anything seriously. Having said that, quit complaining. I thought it was a really fun episode. I didn't know much about Kyle going in but he was awesome.
