How much of the Tower was actually mapped out? I mean, that was one huge-ass Tower, right? Was there a detailed floorplan for all of it?

It's hard to judge the scale from the photo, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that these are nowhere near big enough to hold my dice collection.

A few years ago I was asked to participate in a 25th Anniversary tribute to Dark Dungeons. http://www.theescapist.com/random020209.htm

I could probably tell the whole story of the group from episode 1 in about five minutes if I didn't want to include any tension, emotion or description. There's more to storytelling than merely reciting events.

I played some of the original Traveller (still got all the little books). You have to love a system where your character can die during the character creation process.

I started with Blue Book - it was released here in Australia in 1977, so that's when I started. Moved on to 1st edition AD&D, and still have my old, beaten up Players' Handbook, DM's Guide, Monster Manual, and Deities and Demigods - the original edition with the copyright infringements. I've played so many other RPGs in different genres that I can't possibly name them all, but I went back to D&D for 3E and 3.5, and now play Pathfinder. I haven't played 4E, though I'd like to. Except that I never play with miniatures.

I made a note of this moment too. It's not easy to roleplay outside your comfort zone - you have to learn all the new rules, and put yourself in the mindset of a totally different kind of character. There were many laugh-out-loud moments in this episode, but this was the smile-and-nod moment.

I hope nobody minds that I've stolen a few of these pics for my slideshow screensaver.

Uh, hi. You can call me arth if you don't want to type out my full name. I'd just like to say I've been catching up from the beginning, and I've finally also caught up on the forum posts. Great job guys. This is the way I wish my games would go. I first started playing D&D back in the '70s, with the blue book edition and first edition AD&D. This was before Basic and Expert editions, for the young 'uns. Since then I've played every edition except 2nd, and many other RPGs besides. I, like Sark, always seem to be the GM rather than a player. I don't follow any other Earwolf productions, and don't know Brian or any of the others from a bar of soap, don't read Deadpool, but roleplaying games have been a large part of my whole life (and I'm coming fast up on 44), and I just want to say that this podcast is the best. Sark has a real knack for description - I first took note of it as he described the giant eye opening in the water plane. I'm never unclear what's going on. The story is also fantastic. I love the way Sark has taken it out of the regular D&D genre and turned it into a space fantasy. Love it. Also love the fan art thread. I have the artistic talent of a toadstool, so I really appreciate get a kick out of seeing some of the art other people make. Oh - when I say I don't know Brian, I have an inkling that he might be the hunter guy from Brรผtal Legend. If you can somehow find a way to ask him "How many is that" and he responds "twelve", I'll be sure.
