So.Much.Joy. Great ep! I am totally let down by the fact that Rich did not have an update on MH370.

what a terrific episode! A lot of visuals on the Players Club video. I'm a relative n00b to NNF, but Janet was terrific, top notch, upper echelon guest. Two hours, and the show never lost traction. Wow! -

"...repeal Pet Store versus State" made me let out an audible laugh in the cube farm. the mics didn't seem to pick up much sound coming from the audience, I hope they were laughing. #BringDownShatner -

see if I can get it right this time, 16 Minnetonka. -
Because I live in the Tampa area, Skipper's Smokehouse is kind of a big deal (Chris has most probably been there, just didn't know the name). http://skipperssmokehouse.com/ It's primarily an outdoor concert venue that sells food. Jameis Winston, will probably become (like a lot of QBs that come thru Tampa) the Midnight Mayor of Ybor (lots of bars).

With the sounds in the background, I couldn't help but compare this to Brody's Festival of Friendship podcast. Kremer, 818 till he dies!

If you don't like negativity, I would advise against going to the earwolf subreddit.

Compared to last May, Armen sounded a lot better this time around. Last year he couldn't get to the middle of a sentence without bailing. On today's ep, he finished his thoughts. I like this sentence-finishing Armen. C+. More importantly, it was the JDR ep, and again she knocked it out of the park. Somehow, someway Howard and JDR need to see a movie (something with space or monkeys, or both), and then have them give a Siskel & Ebert style appraisal.

Super tight finish with Golden Smog! Nice.

I wonder if Jimmy was actually feeling an electrical charge in today's ep. He has been complaining of bad volume, and today they suffered an electrical surge. He wears the earbuds so the zing he felt across his face might be electrical current. -

Kojak would be too obvious, so I'm going with an old baseball reference, 17 Kuff. edit: oops, should be 16 Kuff. I'm out of sorts this past week. -
Episode 1611 - Jason Nash

I'm old, and I can remember Jenner being a decathlon athlete, Olympic gold, apple pie, swathed in the flag, Wheaties, all that. For years after he would show up doing show-biz related battle of the stars. He's an American symbol of the 70's. His old persona is one that is engraved on the psyche of those old enough to remember those days, so I can see why his/her transition is comedy material, it's the big contrast. Well that, and everybody saw the changes going on, but he delayed mentioning it. Not that it's anybody's business. Seeing that Jenner has deflated the ball, I don't think he'll continue to be the fodder that he has been. -

Agreed, but will there come a time when Bruce's new persona can be used in comedy? Or is it just a matter of what the joke is about? -
at least it's not the pickup artist.

Running in flip-flops? Yeah, I know a guy. Well actually, I've run with him a little bit (he runs with everybody!). He's Larry Perrier, and he's known as the flip flop man. There is even a video of him: http://www.sptimes.c...an__steps.shtml Okay, so we have a lot of fun at the expense of Florida, but Larry is a positive part of Florida. The first time I encountered him, it was dream-like. I'm heading across a long straight bridge, at the far end (about half-a-mile) I see somebody running, but they are wearing a cape. I figure my jostling while I run, coupled with the distance is messing with my perception. A minute later, I look up, we're even closer, same problem. A person running with a cape flowing behind them. Another minute passes, and we are close, I need to be on guard, because this isn't making sense. Boom, just as he goes by, he's wearing the straw hat, a poncho that is only tied at his neck, no shirt, wearing flip-flops, and carrying a quarterstaff. Mind blown. A year passed, and then I stumbled onto an article about him, and realized he wasn't just part of my imagination. I took a picture with him the one day I ran with him. He has aged quite a bit the last couple years, but he ran me into the ground, and he talked the whole way! All I could manage to do was huff & puff. Sorry, this was supposed to be about the podcast, but when you meet these folks in real life, you have to share. As far as Lewis Hamilton's F1 champagne bath, in F1 it is known, that when the bottles are brought to the podium, all other folks are supposed to leave. The podium will have the top three racers, and a representative from the winning team. Four people on the podium only. If you stay on the podium, you are telling everyone that you are sharing the celebration. He shouldn't be punished, because she would have been told beforehand, and would have been directed in dress rehearsals. Monaco is the lone difference, the drivers have to step away from the podium, since they are given the race trophies by the royal family. The F1 podium is carefully scripted. The only time there is no champagne celebration is if there is a disaster, or if somebody has lost their life during the race.

Episode 1610 - Guy Branum
OrigamiMami replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Guy owned the room. I'm relatively new to NNF (once it came to EW), but it seemed like Jimmy and Matt gave Guy room to talk. If you get the video feed, Jimmy & Matt were watching Guy the whole time. Got to have him on again.
