Anyone else think a bit of katamari damacy after a bit? I know she was more of an absorby type thing instead of an ooze of sticky but just seemed to fit (Or maybe Trapper Keeper from Soutpark but better looking and more pissed off). Either way, made me almost put down my pudding and scoop one out for my fallen homie... almost.

I thought about pulling the trigger on these a few times but still cannot justify spending that much on a single set of dice. Maybe now that they have the plastic options available for these I might do so. http://www.shapeways.com/product/6WSM5H9V8/pinwheel-dice-set?li=productGroup&optionId=43314535

I made a dice tower last night and figured I would share it. Used poplar wood sprayed black with primer then covered most of it with "cobblestone" felt. I used moss wrap on the bottom where the dice come out but had an issue with the D20s not sitting flat so found a piece of plexiglas I had laying around and snapped it to size. Works like a charm and sounds great. Now I just need some sort of cool emblem for the front or sides. I was thinking of some "flag" hanging from the top over the front but that is a project for another weekend.

Great episode! The bear had me laughing my butt off in my cube and almost had me grabbing a pencil and paper for some horribly done fan art (maybe this weekend). Then we get to the ass-hat bikers (that I feel have some distant dickhead relation to the 6th Graders in South Park) and poor Lyra gets crushed. I hope that those blasted blue-butt-munchers get what is coming to them. Next episode should start with a battle cry of WHAM-DANGO! and then a pounding on those biker douches, maybe Dag can cut the schwanz off one of the giants and use it to kill the other. As a side note, I see that some people are rooting for a TPK and that would make me sad. I really enjoy the characters that have been developed and would be sad to see them go.

Does Nerd Poker change from early to later podcasts?
SublimeBW replied to Cymbeline's topic in Nerd Poker
While I agree that the combat seems a bit easy and Blaine is easier on the characters than Sark was I think that labeling it as a danger room is a bit harsh. There have been chances for interaction with NPCs but players also have to choose to interact in a way other than kill kill kill. Not saying that there couldn't be more chat-bait but if the players don't take it and want to fight then it doesn't matter if it is there or not. -
Just wanted to give a thanks to Dan Telfer Steve Agee for agreeing to be permanent members of the Nerd Poker crew! I have been enjoying the show and an active listener since around episode #10 and was worried when the group was going through a constant rotation of guests that an end may be in sigh but now feel that there is a good fresh vibe going on with lots of good energy. Dan is great and getting the group back to playing when side & "trace-talk" has gone on too long (not that I don't enjoy those times but also enjoy listening to game play too). And of course a thank you to all the cast (current & former) as well for giving me/all of us lots of good listening material and good ideas to bring into my campaign (mainly just being far more free flowing as a DM).

I feel you but was looking for a fun simple project and I also DM in an area where I have VERY limited space. I am constantly hitting books & papers, getting cocked dice or having them lost behind something.

Compound that "Hilarious" with copious amounts of that stuff people tend to smoke in a circle when in social settings and there is little hope for those short term memory bonds to form.

Artisan Dice are pretty sweet. A shame that they don't come with a free bottle of lube with every purchase. Would make the price a bit more tolerable. For all your dice ogling needs: http://www.reddit.com/r/DicePorn/ (may cause fapping if you are a nerd)

Always awesome to get your first set. Now you just need to get a few more sets and then you can start putting your dice in "dice jail" when they roll bad or develop some other odd dice habit such as rolling all your 20s and using the first one to roll a 1 or a 20 as your main die for the session.

Not really character art but figured I would take a shot at creating a MTG card based on Hug.

I was a bit confused by that as well. Although, by the ruleset they are using I thought that since he is a magehe would not benefit from having a Con score greater than 16, thus have wasted points.

Sad to hear Sark move on but excited to see what will happen because of that change. In the end though we still didn't get to the most important part... Where is Stargoyle? I hope that If they change characters that at some point they have Sark guest DM and bring these characters back for an epic "The Search for Stargoyle" mini-campaign.

When I heard it I had to make it. Not the best photoshop job but I still think it turned out OK.

Get some more shorty blood in there! Halfling fighter/thief! Or if they don't have the class restrictions Halfling Ranger or Monk (although Monk is garbage in the early levels).
-
Cannot blame him though. As a DM I understand the hardship of making people reroll characters. Yes, it is a part of the game but still a sucky part to enforce. As a side note, I don't think Sark would have saved him if Damien wasn't praying to Judas (I believe Sark said that was key at one point). I could see another deity resurrection/intervention because of that. Here comes Damien, now with Un-Spirit Fingers attack (the opposite of Spirit Fingers and not to be confused with Jazz Hands)!

I was geeked when I got my daughter into D&D a few years ago (she is now almost 16). Now seeing this, I cannot wait to get my next kid (if we have one) into playing. I was going to either way but seeing this makes me think I could show him the way of the nerd at an earlier age than I first planned. Until then, I am having loads of fun with the Next rules. I really like the fact that it is more rules "lite" and combat flows with a quickness (even if using minifigs).Cannot wait for the full release. Hmmm, I should change the wording on that but I will let it ride.

I am not the best at drawing but here is a quick sketch I did at work when I heard that Trondoor has the hots for a certain lady dwarf. Below is my rendition of Trondoor climbing the fence to toss the flower. Hope you like it and sorry for the dimness, it is a bit dark at work today and the picture was taken with a phone camera. And here is a second one of Trondoor joining the party.
