Tedeschi-Trucks Band!!! Nice! Susan Tedeschi is easily one of the best blues vocalists ever. And her husband, Derek Trucks, is probably one of the best slide guitarists ever. I saw Susan in concert one time. Front row. Man, it was awesome. She gave me a guitar pick. Put it right in my hand.

I can only imagine all the things Jason has to say about Gooby. Also, I haven't updated Adobe in months. It asks me to all the time but I don't let it. But guess what? Adobe still works just fine without the update. (I'm glad these minisodes don't sound like ass anymore.)

That's right. I don't need to see men's feet. Put on a hard shoe, gentlemen.

Claudia was a delight. I hope they have her back soon.

Episode 1423 - Todd Levin
HotSaucerman replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Well, I think some people elevate The Beach Boys like they're on par with The Beatles. And the Beach Boys were good at what they did--doo wop surf music, but come on.... its doo wop surf music. Its not something that I can listen to again and again. And one thing I whole-heartedly disagree with Jimmy on is "Kokomo"--that is the WORST song they ever did! I'd rather listen to "Barbara Ann" on repeat for 20 minutes than listen to "Kokomo" once. And yeah, there's a handful of Beach Boy tunes that aren't bad, but there's a lot more that are just the same songs with slightly different lyrics. And you can say that about a lot of early Blues music too. Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters are two prime examples. -
Taylor Negron is one of those "always funny" guys. I need to hit up his IMDb because I haven't seen enough of him. I just think of that pizza guy in Fast Times and the dude in Angels in the Outfield.

Gu Cruise music video. Its gotta happen. Kulap and a Gu on a Sea Doo. Howard singing on a beach, in a summah tuxedo.

I agree. Beach Boys basically suck. -
I'm re-listening to this episode, and you took the words right out of my mouth, sir. I love April and Emily, but Karen's closer to Howard in age, so there's like an automatic chemistry. (I know Kulap's pretty young, but her chemistry with Howard is just magic).... Also.... if Karen sang a duet with Howard on a future Summah album, I'd run up and down the streets in my Summah tee, screaming like a joy-filled maniac.

Embedding Youtube videos.... If you click the "Special BBCode" button beside the Font selector, then select "Media" on the pulldown menu, and then paste a YouTube URL in the appropriate box, and TAKE OUT the S after the HTTP part, you can get a YouTube video to embed..... [media=''] [/media] ....or just paste the URL, minus that S in the http part, inside of this--> [media=''][/media] ...then it'll work.

I pretty much agree with Howard on Iggy Azalea. She's a decent rapper, but she's humorless and boring. If she put out a fun, tongue-in-cheek song, then she'd be a lot more likable. And speaking of cheeks, nobody can deny that booty on her! Its ridicu-donka-donk-ulous!

A Thomas Middleditch ditch?

I really want to see a music video for "Gu Cruise".... with a suave looking Howard singing on a beach between shots of Kulap and a Gu on a Sea Doo.

Wait.... when did Todd Glass write a book?!

I loved this movie. Still do. Michael Keaton gives a solid comedic performance in 4 different roles... The one thing that really sticks out to me in this movie is the strange panning of shots where its obviously that this is an effects sequence. And then there's Andie MacDowell who is nothing in this. And there's an underused Eugene Levy also.

Bump again. This is one of those early 90s kids movies that I watched a lot. Where Rookie of the Year played out your childhood fantasy of playing professional baseball. Cop and a half played out that phase of your childhood when you played cops and robbers. Rookie of the Year still holds up somewhat. Not as much as The Sandlot, but Cop and a Half does NOT hold up AT ALL! And Burt Reynolds is in it. Just asking to be made fun of. And then there's the Elvis doo-wop bad guy...... uggghhhhh.....

Brett Morris! Stard! What Podcasts Do you Listen To?
HotSaucerman replied to HotSaucerman's topic in General Earwolf
NPR's "Tiny Desk Concerts" are pretty great. Lots of good 15-20 minute sets by a variety of Indie bands. And Pat Francis, Jimmy Pardo's buddy, has a podcast called "Rock Solid" where each episode has a different theme and he and one of his rotating co-hosts bring in 5 songs from their collection. They play a snippet from the songs and discuss them. Its a pretty funny show and they typically try to pick songs that are more obscure than stuff that you hear on the radio all the time. I need to find more music podcasts too. Its sort of overwhelming when I jump on iTunes to find one because there's just so many to choose from. -
Episode 298 β The Hotwives of Orlando

That was sort of a rhetorical question. How bout this.... I would pay a little more for Hulu to get it without ads. Subscribing to a service and then getting ads sort of defeats the purpose. -

Great episode. NNF should do a musical guest episode every season. -
I knew a guy that used to cook meth in the non-Breaking Bad "shake'n'bake" method. Its crazy the ingredients you need. That coleman camping fuel, lithium batteries(which you have to break apart), matches, and some heavy-duty drain unclogger. And a certain kind of matches. The strips that you strike the matches on. And Sudafed of course. Its nuts. I think he's clean now, but that guy was hustling every 2-3 days to get all that stuff and cook it just to support his own habit. At one point, he was a big fat lineman-sized dude, but he was crazy skinny when this was going on.

Wow that is weird because I jump around a lot on improv4humans. I was just going through the episodes with Stephanie Allynne. She's got a really nice voice.

Hahaha, I was just about to post that exact same quote with Brett's "Oh, no shit?" I had to rewind that about 3 times.
