What would the in-setting equivalent be?
-
Will there be new seasons?

The thing is, each of these episodes centered around a character that existed and was somewhat fleshed out from CBB appearances. There are a few Daly CBB characters that haven't been done (Gil and Golly come to mind), but they're also the less developed ones, who I'm not sure could carry a pilot. And given that the whole point of most of the pilots was they were "first episodes" that were so ill-conceived or self- (or other-)destructive as to make the idea of a second episode questionable, not sure how that would work either. We may just need to live with this being a British sit-com model podcast, and enjoy the eight we got. -
I finally got around to watching this show, and I'm loving it, and also it's maybe even more dark than his Earwolf characters. After the first two episodes, which are mostly stand-alone, it gets into some really crushing ongoing plot... still lots of laughs, but also kinda makes you want to cry.

Don't know who else caught this on last night's episode, but he definitely brought out some of his pilot character mojo, including his August Lindt voice AND reference to kidnapping runaway teens for his terrifying circus of blood, which also felt a bit familiar... That said, was very surprised that of the two final answers his wasn't the suicide-themed one.

Loved that moment. Also discovered--so long they were actually on screen I could keep it Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham, but any time one of them talked while the camera was on Chris or something my brain started screaming "WHY ARE WOMPLER AND LISTLER ON @MIDNIGHT?!?" Also Hubel made enough awkward Dad jokes you could have called him Seth. Priceless.

Great episode as always! Nice to be back on track, and great to see stakes rising once again. I can admit that, a little bit when it became clear that the townsfolk were compromised, and then much more when everyone in town froze and then imploded, the main thing going through my head was "damn good thing Sir Richard isn't alive to see this, it would have ruined him." Of course, there are a few alternate explanations--one, the Old Man may have set up G'more as his base of operations, and comes and goes from the city regularly (hence, his landing as they arrived wasn't nearly as unusual as it would otherwise be), or two, and this one seems most likely to me, he wants to confront our team in G'more for some reason (or no reason, I wouldn't put it past him to set up that disheartening welcome party merely to screw with them). After all, he's been entirely aware of their presence on this planet at least since the village pyre...

Am I the only one who would love to see scans of our intrepid adventurers' character sheets?
-
They do, they just frequently forget them in the car or, if I recall right, leave them at home and have to call their babysitter to get them over the phone.

Listen to the end of his parting episode again. I would think the whole having his deity tell him " you your time on stage is done, and that this time you're not going back like last time" pretty severely puts a kink in that theory.

There's the combat rounds folks were waiting for the last few weeks
-
I purchased some Miwin's dice from them in one of the medium-range plastics once, they were pretty meh materials wise--very light in weight and unsatisfying to roll.

I can't be the only one who had to bite his tongue on the bus to not shout "EAT!"

Not sure our heroes would care for it in their current form, but feel the need to post a link to metal artists posing with their cats...

Another great episode--I feel like there was some complaining in one of the recent episode threads about lack of rolls or combat, and I think this goes to show how you can have good RPG sessions without traditional crawling. Great open-ended problem solving, smart choices on the part of players, unexpected outcomes that don't just feel like the DM trying to railroad back into a pre-planned puzzle/solution. Very non-shitty DMing and non-shitty character play. Bravo!

Episode 008 ā Kiss Me, Iām Patrick McMahon LIVE!
HunterJE replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
Stop feeding the troll, folks. On the episode, a great finish to a great run of shows. Must say, though, while the outcome of the limerick contest was perfect from a plot perspective, the Monsignor's was clearly the best. -
Is there an echo in here?

Interesting article: How We Won the War on Dungeons and Dragons From the comments: "It was never a fair fight between fundamentalist Christianity and D&D. One was a dangerous system full of dark mysticism and threats to warp a young mind beyond repair, and the other was a tabletop RPG."
-
Didn't they level immediately post-Sparklett, and possibly also simultaneous with the version switch? Maybe that's why they won their saves... (thinking like a DM, always come up with a semi-plausible reason for a roll result)

I think NP listeners should all probably catch the latest episode of Paul F Tompkins's The Dead Authors Podcast if they're not already subscribers... Chapter 32: E. Gary Gygax, featuring Chris Tallman

Dude, my brother did crew-work for that!

Loving this so much. I really hope they get the chance to get into some combat pre-de-ratting, I can't imagine how that would work, but I want to see what Sark half-asses for it.

Not sure it was ever established that SG was a true familiar in a technical sense... that said, I'm not eulogizing anyone until I have confirmation, especially a pretty much off-screen death. Too genre aware.

Now when do we get "don't jerk off on my cheese" shirts?
-
Speaking of, when will we see the "don't jack off in my cheese" shirts in the Earwolf store?
