EPISODE 20 ā Stephanie Allynne: Jillian Palmer Arbonne Podcast
earpanther replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Further evidence why the "guests" should be members of Wild Horses as often as possible. -
I think the best part of the episode was this guy begging female listeners to e-mail him if they like the sound of his voice. Because he's alone. What a piece of shit this guy is. I know that people would argue that PB shouldn't give a forum for human trash to voice their opinions - but by allowing him to do so, he hangs himself with his own rope, and his entire platform is discredited. An episode like this doesn't give weight to the things this guy says - it deflates them completely, renders them powerless, and may actually work towards further recognition that this is all disgusting and awful. He's always going to find people to sell his shit to, but the more opportunities we have to hear intelligent, thoughtful people like Kyle, David and Tig patently reject the nonsense he puts out there, I think the better. This guy is a joke, and he was the joke of this episode. Having him on here doesn't serve to benefit his agenda in any way, shape or form.

Episode 10 ā The Wild Horses Show
earpanther replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This was my favorite episode so far, actually. I love the format, don't get me wrong, but this was just such a pleasure to listen to. I'd be okay with Wild Horses being part of every episode. -
I thought David's SERIAL bit was really great!

Episode 159 ā Rainbow Bridge

I for one am so relieved that the case is closed, because that was painful, in so, so many ways. I hope he sticks to his promise and we never hear him talking about Lewinsky on the show again. -
David was 100% right about Wuthering Heights.
-
David sounds like he hates doing the show now. He had an earnest enthusiasm in the beginning that has all but disappeared. I thought the guest could be the new Aaron if it means Tig ragging on him all the time.

Episode 46 ā Jessica Williams, Our Close Friend

the best part of the episode was probably the whole entire thing. -
I so enjoyed the never ending series of DJs introducing the same song. The show is at its best when they engage in silly little exercises like this. And Mother Meditation is now my favourite feature on the show.

Episode 1501 - Maria Bamford
earpanther replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
I was confused about the Chilton/Replacements thing. Wasn't sure if it was a joke re: the song title, or Jimmy actually thinks Chilton was involved in the Replacements. P.S. This is not negativity. -
Episode 145 ā LIVE from the Del Close Marathon 16 Pt. 2

Gemberling and Gabrus are hands down my two favorite i4h guests. Love those guys. -
Who do YOU want to be a guest on WHO CHARTED??
earpanther replied to Kulap's topic in Guest Recommendations
Gotta get Chelsea. -
So many questions - will Howard actually make the sojourn to China? Will the show continue without him? Should it? And who would/should replace him?

Episode 142 ā LIVE from the Blue Whale Comedy Festival in Tulsa
earpanther replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Betsy did get cut off numerous times - but I think the reason why it stands out is because she stopped talking every time, or waited until an organic moment came up. Performers are always stepping over each other on the show, and the performer has the choice of whether or not to keep going, get louder, etc. I think Betsy may just be the type of performer who consciously chooses to "cede" the bit to whoever has a strong viewpoint or idea for the scene to go in. I did not get the impression at all that she was being steamrolled, or that it was some kind of personal slight against her. I also find it weird in this case to chastise Gabrus for laughing "too much." He enjoys what he's doing, he's having a good time - it's not like he's on Saturday Night Live and trying not to break the fourth wall. While I do think there's an argument for staying in the sketch to a certain extent, I think laughter is the reason we're listening this to begin with, and to begrudge him the possibility of expressing his own enjoyment of the show is a bit unfair. -
Gu Cruise is the best thing I've heard this week.
-
She's definitely let it slip a few times in the past couple of months.

Episode 295 ā I Turned It On For The Dog Penis
earpanther replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
This is already a recurring reference. Scott has mentioned it at least five times in the past, and I enjoy it every time. -
I most enjoyed the subject of Leopard Larry.

I listen to i4h on Fridays on the way home from work. It's just what I do, okay? -

I'm legitimately depressed that there won't be a new episode next week. Thursdays are now just a blank, sad wasteland. -

I'll take the Sgt. Pepperoni's Artichoke Hearts Club Sandwich please; hold the mustard though, I'm allergic to all things yellow. -
