Episode 16 — Commentary Special
Casaba replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
This was a real giggle-puss edition of UTU2TM?. I always love hearing PFT and Harris laughing, but what made it even better was hearing Scott's breathy-squeak laugh in the background from the first episode. My little heart is broken to hear that they will be on hiatus all summer. But that first episode back with be so much sweeter for the waiting. -
I can't wait to see Honda Slate (half car, half assassin). I hope it becomes a three film franchise. Jenny is so funny. I love her as My Niece Denise. I love her nasal singing voice. If you haven't seen her weird/hilarious web series Catherine, please check it out:

Bob threw in a nice Mr. Show reference at the end there: "The bill for the bullet gets sent to a Chinese family." Bob stumbled over it a bit, but it still cracked me up.
-
Congrats, Bernard_Shakey, on your absurdist catchphrase! It would have stuck, if Bob hadn't interfered.

Episode 15 — Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark
Casaba replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I would love to see an episode with Kulap and Naomi. But I'm thinking they might also include an in-depth look at behind the scenes of UTU2TM? A real "how the bread is made" episode. How have they contacted each other to plan recordings for each episode, text or email? Why is there often miscommunication over what time they're meeting? Who contacts Engineer Cody Sam to get them in the studio? Is Adam getting frustrated with the cord hand-over punk? Etc. -
Instead of being separated by gender identity, there should just be one restroom for sitting and one restroom for standing. You decide which one you need. PS - I can't wait to read Todd's book, and James Adomian is one of the funniest people working today. If you haven't seen him do stand up, I highly recommend it.

Howard, you're really showing off your thighs in those photos. Grrrrr.

It tickles me that Rodney Og likes the anti-Armen posts and Rod_Ogg likes the pro-Armen posts. A bit of a Jekyll and Hyde thing there. I relate to Armen in that I find it difficult to express myself eloquently in person. Improv is actually a wonderful cure for that. It gets you out of your head and into the moment. That being said, Armen did a fine job and these have been some fun shows. Besser as Snape is genius! I love Besser and I wish I had the opportunity to take UCB classes. Do it, Armen.

Thanks for sharing this, Must Turd. I've been looking for Gourley's commercials online. I don't get these in my region, I guess. Gourley mentioned another volkswagen commercial where he fits himself into a trunk. Anyone have a link to this?
-
Drunk Scott! Paul F. Greatest! Gourley! What more could a gal ask for? "Are those clanking chains?" "uh, no" "Oh those are your keys. I thought it was some sort of Jacob Marley fettered situation." "No, I was just getting my keys out of the way. Why would I have clanking chains for an exorcism?" "I don't know! Alright here we go. Do you need any assistance from me?" "Yes, I'd like you to shut up."

'Tis true. When the "ENJOY IT!" command comes from Brody, it's impossible to ignore it.
-
I heartily agree. I saw them in San Francisco and brought along two friends who were completely unfamiliar with Brody and Howard. I was a little nervous that my friends wouldn't enjoy it because their style of stand up is not at all typical, especially Brody's. But we all agreed at the end of the night that this was one of the best stand up shows we had seen in ages. We all laughed constantly. Howard was charming and weird and very funny! I am now a big fan of Adam Cayton-Holland too. Brody's set is pretty long so that makes sense that the show would be from 9 - 1am. He did more than an hour with us, but I could have watched him for longer than that. Brody's energy is so powerful and intoxicating. His crowd work was hilarious. If he comes to your town, do yourself a favor and experience his show live.

What's your Summah Gum? TriTopTwiz for We-We!
Casaba replied to OwenRobertson's topic in The Summah Section
I just tried the new Orbit Apple Remix. It's nice and refreshing with a light but sweet flavor. Not a bad Summah gum, but it's no Tri Trop Twizz. -

Scott, if you see this, you look great with messy hair. No need for the hat.
-
The mention/impression of Peabo Bryson alone made me lose it. But that was a tornado of references so dense that I laughed through most of it. I'll have to listen to it a few more times.

Ok. An attempt to set the record straight, I think Benny came up with the term Solo Bolo in ep.263 27:10. But Scott proposes that Benny come back for a Solo Bolo in the same episode at 46:40. Does anyone remember a mention of Solo Bolo earlier than this? They didn't talk about it in episodes 192 or 229. This was a bit that Ben used to do live, but he mentioned it on CBB (maybe in his first episode?) and Scott loved it. They've been doing it ever since. Ben explains it to Werner Herzog in ep. 229.
-
Man! I really loved this Solo Bolo! I love all of the spontaneous singing. It's made me want to go back and relisten to all of the Benny Schwass episodes.
-
Benny says Solo Bolo in episode 263 around 27 mins in. But maybe it was brought up in a previous episode. I do remember episode 192 has a beautiful Going to the Break song sung by Benny and Scott. EDIT:

It already feels like Summah up here in the Bay Area. Here are a few of my favorite Summah lunches (vegetarian for Howard): Avocado toast (toast, avocado, salt, pepper, paprika) Falafel sandwich Mixed greens with chickpeas, avocado, and tomato Pasta salad with zucchini, yellow squash, and parmesan cheese What are your favorite Summah foods?

Lake Tahoe is an amazing place to swim. The water is so clear and blue, and the mountains surrounding the lake are a beautiful sight. I've only been there once but if you ever get the chance, you will love it.

Here's my list of possible Summah skillz to work on. Which should I focus on this Summah? Using a bow and arrow Learning Spanish Playing piano Kickboxing or Krav Maga Survival skills (such as foraging for food and wilderness first aid)

Episode 9 — Slowing It Down
Casaba replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Hilarious episode! Why do I love it when PFT says fuck? He said it several times in this episode and I giggled with delight each time. Maybe it's because his characters don't really swear. Dressed casually, swearing like a sailor...I like when PFT lets his hair down.
