I'm starting to fall in love with this man's videos! Imagine a man with the powers of a professional voiceover actor who sounds a lot like Kelsey Grammar reading your lame ass high school Facebook profile, with no holds barred! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhTU5tSufu0 -

I suppose that by Japanese standards, this is an ordinary, everyday comedy of manners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZFbWC8uGgg -

Episode 90 β Funkiest Lordβs Prayer

Great episode, loved it! I enjoyed the analysis of the Frozen parody (I'm dying to know what Jake makes of IceJJFish, who is so much worse). Anton LaVey was a revelation. I've heard of him, but never seen him. I knew some Satanists in college and was invited to an orgie, but no. Not for me. Anyway, they weren't nearly as clever as LaVey. Would you go to a LaVey orgie? Would Pyne? Song for the Stupid Raver Shithead was great. Unlistenable but great. I loved it when Meagan said she's listened to music like that. So have I, hell I make music like that! -

Have you been grapefruited? I just saw this on Dangerous Minds, but I figured folks on these forums needed to know about "The Grapefruit Blowjob Technique" here too. The sounds Auntie Angel makes demonstrating this are pretty terrifying! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM2PwriqOjc -

Monty Python sketches are only funny when the original cast does them. This is a religious truth, an article of faith and a law of physics. Imitators, no matter how precisely they mimic the originals, perform the sketches with no life or spark whatsoever. I hate to be around people rattling off the "Dead Parrot Sketch" or other Python classics in movie lines or public places. their delivery is so dead, but they think they're hilarious! Python and Abbot & Costello bits will be among the many offerings you'll be able to find on Stand Up Comedy Karaoke machines once Stand Up Comedy Karaoke becomes a thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq9IVtBx64M -

I like the Don Coscarelli (Phantasm)/David Lynch a la Inland Empire feel of the thing. Looking at some more of Eric's videos. -

My goodness, those are creepy and interesting. I'm looking around at other ASMR videos on youtube. I had no idea people were doing this with binaural recording. For the porn industry this could bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "giving head." -

There's a lot going on here. I think this youtube based movie review of The Night of One Thousand Cats is meant for people who don't have access to imdb.com, or youtube.com, or the internet, or perhaps electricity. The unseen reviewer creatively draws illustrations to accompany his narration of the plot of the film. Didn't they do this on Reading Rainbow? I also love that he feels compelled to write out a line of dialog for us to admire. This is part two; It's my favorite part! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gvz3RA4tlY The entire review (parts 1 and 2) is about 20 minutes long. If you should happen to feel you might save some time watching the actual movie, here you go. Animal lovers should give this a miss. For what it's worth, I find the way the cats are treated in this quite troubling. -

Laughing...well, that's Delany! It's been decades since I read Stars, and looking over the prologue now I find I remember it well. It seems I didn't pull a Borges and skip it. Ordering Dhalgren on Amazon now. -

I've always liked Delany's work, but I haven't read anything of his since "Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand." I'll take a look at your namesake novel! -

Do It Yourself videos are generally utilitarian and humorless by nature. The Hang drum was invented by a microscopic, perversely anti-commercial Swiss company so much more capricious than Mussolini or even Steve Jobs ever dared to be. PANArt may, or may not, make a limited number of handmade Hang drums each year. Their clientele is made up entirely of street musicians working in and around subways. PANArt can do what they damn well please. To get a Hang drum, you should make an appointment and fly to Switzerland for an interview with the two guys in the company so they can make sure your heart is pure and your intentions are good. After all of that, maybe they will sell you a Hang drum. It might take six months to a year to fulfill your order though. It's also possible they could lose interest and move on to making pasta. They're a parable, not a company. It's probably cheaper and easier to buy a hang drum for $6k--$8k on Ebay if one ever becomes available. IF it's authentic. You could try to get a drum made by a competitor, but they're about as difficult as PANArt because they're all using the same business model. Or you could try to make one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPNe8oQXM_E -

Attempts at communication gone woefully awry utterly slay me. Maybe it's not really that funny, but I have no resistance to it. Abbot and Costello and Badlipreading have the same effect on me. Props to the singer for having the guts and naivety to sing this in English, then post it to the hell that is Youtube, where I'm sure it was downloaded, altered, and reposted in the form we see here. There are many of these videos on youtube by this guy and his various "collaborators." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7oGx2dImE8 -

WWTSS? (What Would Tom Scharpling Say?) I love how this TV morning show host washes her hands of the whole thing as Queequeg follows her off the set. She must not have noticed that Michael J. Fox is playing the Hang drum. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqMgL5qmZ-k -

Big joke until someone falls to her death then gives you a public service announcement on retail safety! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1hlBg1gJyU This is one of a series of strange, darkly funny Canadian safety films called prevent-it. They're like tiny horror movies a la Landis's _American Werewolf in London_ in that each victim delivers a cogent lecture just before or after dying. Be warned, the first one in particular is nightmare fuel, it will leave afterimages. Get through that one, and you're home free for the rest. The world of safety films is a weird one. The makers seem fraught with conflicting goals and interests. -

brax520, I see your "Russian punk" band and raise you a Gypsy punk band of the first water, Gogol Bordello. Granted, the violin, washboard, accordion and air drill are not traditional punk instruments, they do get the job done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StZwrbKHnG4 -

Jarrycanada, That was a hunk a hunk of burning surrealism, thank you! I loved Yello as a teenager, Snakefinger too. I listened to a lot of Ralph Records bands back in the day. I extracted about all the enjoyment I could out of The Residents, but they can be hard to warm to. I noticed a tiny clip in Yello's "The Race" at 0:45 in from the video "Machine Civilization" by World Order, a strange and interesting Japanese group. I post one of their videos for your consideration. I admire this group's style and dedication. They even manage to squeeze in a lot of social commentary about life in Japan, gender roles and our global, mechanized society. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35hCo_grAqw
