    It's also sad to think that people cast off Howard as doing a "schtick". In fact, of all the people I work with he might just be the most "himself" on-mic, as crazy as that might sound. Not that there's anything wrong whatsoever with having different personas, but Howard can't really help but be Howard in any situation, even when he's explicitly doing a character, which makes it funnier.

     

    This really sums up what I love about Howard. His comedy always seems to be coming from a genuine place, which is why he can be so consistantly funny week in and week out. He strikes me as someone who would be just as funny and affable off mic as on, which is endearing.

    I'm liking the shirt choices this episode across the board. Armen should take Matt up on those classes and document the whole thing - flip his "Darkest hour" into something positive and play off the tension with Besser. if it's a monumental failiure, he will get a great material out of it, and if it's sucessfull he'll have redeemed himself in the eyes of someone he respects.

    Howard is such a naturally funny person it's got to be a daunting job filling in for him. I like Armen's demeanor and feel like he's got a whole other weird funny guy thing going. It's a whole other angle, and it's not what we are used to, so it's falling a little flat, but none of you dicks are dropping howie-level brilliance like shredsturant on the regular, so cut him some slack.
