"I don't date Philosophy majors. They're a rowdy bunch." "Well, lucky for you, I'm undecided." "About what?" "Everything." AND AN ENDING SO OUT OF THE BLUE THAT YOU WON'T EVEN BELIEVE IT. I want to spoil it so badly, but holy crap. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1403981/

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!
DorkyButCool replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
That picture of the couple in the car just looks like they had a child very quickly after making this movie, and then named that child Haley Joel Osment. -
I haven't clicked through all of these questions, so pardon my impoliteness if I'm repeating what another user has asked: Have you considered leaving up "classic" episodes for free? Or certain ones each month, or what it may be? I only ask, because I love to share Comedy Bang Bang and U Talkin' U2 To Me? with friends who aren't privy to finding such things on their own, and there are certain episodes that I personally think are really good introductory episodes to Comedy Bang Bang specifically. In fact, I'm currently dating a girl to whom I had sent several episodes after first meeting her.

EPISODE 191 — Drizzle, No Apologies
DorkyButCool replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I was very ready to argue against what Matt was saying against Sun Kil Moon, but I got to the end and I agree with him. He CAN say what he wants. I think he's a talented musician, I also think he's a pretty big asshole from what I've read. He also seems to hate doing press, but loves getting attention from the press. That War On Drugs thing was just a one off comment on a stage, the press picked it up, and it was a big thing. He publicly made up with the band, and then he wrote and produced a song about the situation seemingly just to keep the attention on himself. He says what he wants, and I don't agree with it or like it, but Matty B is right (like always) in that he's basically just an overall asshole and not just a specific kind of asshole. (I know Besser wasn't calling him an asshole at all, but that's how I feel about him.) -
EPISODE 189 — Apes Will Fight If We Must
DorkyButCool replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
The Harold is the signature improv form that iO and UCB do. It's what layed the groundwork for basically all of the long form that we see today. Both theaters have teams that are specifically there to play The Harold on certain nights. As with teams in anything, some are better than others and some teams are very new to playing in front of a crowd so they're a little more raw than a veteran team playing a form that they have created/perfected. -

Besser, I don't know if you've listened to Waxahatchee, but I think you'd dig it and I think she'd make for a solid music episode if you could manage to get her. -
I brought this up in a reddit thread on /r/Earwolf, but it might get more traction here. I think that we should get people to go out and protest outside of U2's concerts for this next tour. We can have signs that say "Where Are Our TShirts?" and chants like "What do we want?" "TSHIRTS" "When do we want them?" "NOW". We can pitch more ideas as the tour comes near. Thoughts? Queries? Suggestions?

I'm pretty surprised that they aren't going to round out the triology and do Santa With Muscles. Especially at this time of year.

I can't even wrap my head around what June is trying to get at. Just listening to the logic of her argument gave me a slight stress headache. It was too much.

Hey guys, I wrote a GMail Roulette theme. The guitar part took me like 10 seconds to come up with. The lyrics took me a little longer. Hope you enjoy. https://soundcloud.com/dorkybutcool/g-mail-roulette-theme- 132 replies

Episode 51 — Gil Ozeri, Our Close Friend
DorkyButCool replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I was fortunate enough to eavesdrop on Sean's one man show (Val Kilmer cut me in line and took the last seat so I cut a hole in the roof and listened through that), and his portrayal of an almond was nothing short of breath taking. Not sure if anybody else had a chance to see or hear it, but I just wanted to let everybody know how good it was and that I hate Val Kilmer.
