I will say that it's the first MM movie to make me cry...

I haven't seen them all either - 1, 2, 4, and 7. You don't need to be up on the "lore" or care about cars, Seven is just a great movie. That being said, I could give two shits about 8.

I've heard the "dated" accusation twice now, and at the risk of sounding horribly naive or like an insensitive clod, I'm not sure I understand why. Granted, I haven't finished it yet, so maybe something wildly offensive is waiting for me just around the corner, but since the movie establishes itself in the first line as taking place in 1989, I've been able to chalk a lot of the things that wouldn't fly today as "it was the Eighties, almost Nineties." Please forgive my ignorance if I'm missing something huge. It's also possible that maybe this is a discussion that should be saved for the movie thread proper.

And wasn't it weird that Ward looked to be the same age as his father? I mean, kudos to Daddy Faramir (trademark Elektra Boogaloo) for aging gracefully, but in some scenes, I would forget that they were supposed to be father and son.

I would have been fine with that. In fact, I didn't get into Iron Fist until I was an adult and didn't even realize he was white until I read a comic. I always just assumed he was Asian. What sucks is, as Elektra points out in her journal, Lewis Tan expressed interest in the role, but only got a minor part in it. However, that minor part is one of the absolute highlights of the show. No joke. If all you watch is his scene, do that. What he does in about 90 seconds is absolutely amazing! What I would have liked, and Elektra, Tom and Cam Bert can give me their opinions on this, is an Iron Fist show that was like a straight up Kung Fu movie. Like Marvel's version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or Enter the Dragon. Aesthetically, I know it wouldn't have really worked, but it would have been different. Anything would have been better than this meandering corporation bullshit. One of my favorite (terrible) moments was
