Oh, I definitely used to group them by genre too However, thatās mostly because I kept my discs in binders and it was easier to be like āThis binder is for Comedyā rather than āThis binder is for movies J through M.ā While I miss video stores, I canāt say I miss physical media. Even having tossed all the cases years ago, they just take up too much space - especially when I can just go into iTunes or Amazon and just pull up my list. I just donāt have the same emotional attachment to a disc that I do to, say, a book or a record. Iād rather make more room for those things rather than my Tango and Cash DVD

Like Paul, Iāve pretty much purged almost all of my physical media, but I disagree with him putting Raiders of the Lost Ark in the āRās.ā While it might seem counter intuitive, because itās a part of the Indiana Jones series, it should really be filed under āI.ā Also, perhaps controversially, all Bond movies should be filed chronologically and under āB,ā and Predator movies should be filed under āAā with the Alien series. Ultimately, itās more important that a movie series remains intact than for your collection to be strictly alphabetized.

Iām about 20 minutes from the end of the episode so maybe they bring this up, but I think the reason Grantās character doesnāt really have an arc is because his arc occurs off camera. During the course of the movie, we find out that one of the factors leading to their divorce was Havenās drinking. He tells (I think Stewart) that he was in a rehab facility (sanitarium) for a few months to straighten himself out. He never drinks during the course of the movie. I feel like thatās what made Tracy drinking so significant. He sobered up and she loosened up. That way they were able to meet somewhere in the middle. (Also, If you two are going to write notes to each other in Sharpie during the episode, you have to at least tell us what you wrote )

Episode 220 - Hobbs & Shaw: LIVE! (w/ Adam Scott, Nicole Byer)

In defense of Vin Diesel (a sentence I never thought Iād write), from what I understand, itās not that he demands to know what every āI am Grootā means, so much as James Gunn had a special script created for him to translate what heās actually saying so he can give it the proper inflection. For example, when heās dusted in Infinity War, according to the directors, his āI am Grootā was him crying out āfatherā (i.e. Rocket Raccoon) -
Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore I've forgotten what I started fighting for And if I have to crawl upon the floor Come crushing through your door Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore...

I genuinely like so many of the movies you listed

Maybe I missed something (probably), but I never felt like the love plot in The Maltese Falcon was ever meant to be sincere. I just figured that they were just using each other to get what they wanted ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ

For the record, there are quite a few movies on the AFI List the I would happily replace with Galaxy Quest.

Paul and Amy boogie through 1994's Quentin Tarantino indie breakout Pulp Fiction! They revisit the moment Pulp Fiction won at Cannes, ask what this film did right that so many imitators did wrong, and try to figure out what's in the briefcase. OMG, when the movie started with about 10 newsreels I started wondering if the whole movie was just that - newsreel after newsreel. -

For me, I think I might have enjoyed it if I were in the right mood. It was pretty crazy and it definitely needs to be seen by more eyes. I think my brain couldnāt handle the juxtaposition from The Boys to this -
We do! Iāll post it here tomorrow
