  1. In honor of our great hero Joe "Cup of" McGurl, I'd like to quote a famous June 4th speech by another great hero, Winston Churchill (Andrew, you'll probably like this).

"We shall go on to the forum. We shall wish Joe a happy birthday in France, we shall wish Joe a happy birthday on the seas and oceans, we shall wish Joe a happy birthday with growing confidence and growing strength in his handsomeness, we shall wish a happy birthday to our handsome boy, whatever the cost may be. We shall wish Joe a happy birthday on the beaches, we shall wish Joe a happy birthday on the landing grounds, we shall wish Joe a happy birthday in the fields and in the streets, we shall wish Joe a happy birthday in the hills; we shall never be handsomer..."

Happy Birthday Joe, you earned it!

  2. OK OK, you can stop hounding me! I'll be "real".

My favorite movie is Airplane, my favorite band is Foxygen, my favorite show is Fooly Cooly, and my favorite color is orange.

I promise I only ignored Andy's excellent format because I'm too insecure to take up that much vertical space!

I also promise that I only posted this because you all made alcohol seem like a cool thing to do.

I can't wait until tomorrow when I find out how cool regret feels!

ps- A Bears album is so good that I feel like complimenting it would be condescending.

  3. I'm gonna have to second that "The Bugle" recommendation, it's shorter than most p-casts, but it's just a great song and a great way for Howard to kick off his chart.

No but seriously, it's a great pod. Who Charted I mean.

    No but seriously,

    Seriously,

    seriously

    seriously...

    Guys, I can't stop, I'm getting scared...

edit- I DO THINK THE BUGLE IS A GOOD PODCAST! *sigh* that feels better.

  4. Having now finished the episode I gotta say, it was really good and all, but I'm kinda surprised how much stuff they just glossed over! Maybe they're just trying not to step on any toes, but it would have been really interesting to hear their thoughts on that time Dave wanted to quit the show and went to Africa, or when he founded Wendy's hamburgers, or when he would say "Buh-bye" in that funny mean way.

  5. I just came here to like stuff.

Now this is the type of comment I can get behind!

While I'm commenting anyway though, I'll just say that it's sort of bittersweet and pathetic how Engineer Cody's newfound interest in amateur pickling is an obvious reaction to Brett's well known mustarding success. I'm torn between being disgusted and just wanting to tell him he did a good job for trying...
