  1.

I will say, it went a different direction, but I do wonder if a news guy coming and saying he wanted to do a story about a podcast but only "if it bleeds" was at least partially a comment on the "Serial-has-invented-podcasting" mainstream-media narrative... might be reading too much in though.

I figured it was just that Neil Campbell had seen Nightcrawler a few hours before coming to the recording.

  2. 1.) Tony Macaroni (Obviously. My favorite CBB episode ever. LARRY PETUNIA, ONION UNION.)

2.) Return To Suicide House (Too many perfect bits to mention, but top two have to be the Spooky Orgy rap breakdown and FOR THREEEE DAYSSSS.)

3.) Nubile Agape (Horatio's Aaron Neville is the best voice on the whole show. He can say anything and be hilarious. Kulap and Shelby also go along with it a perfect amount as they're totally okay with breaking character when it makes things funnier.)

4.) Hollywild (There's something about the Schwartz and Sanz combination that is consistent gold for me. The end.)

5.) Sex Party Season (It was all the Garry Marshall/Gillan Jacobs episodes that got me into the show, so I feel obliged to vote for this. It does deserve it though, as it's incredible.)

6.) Don't Hack The SAC (The only slightly less awesome Claudia O'Doherty episode, which is still hilarious.)

7.) Project Funway (I don't want to like this one, as the humour is super easy, but that's part of what makes it so great. The fact that everyone seems totally comfortable with just saying the first thing that comes into their head gives it a really fun loose vibe.)

8.) Grounded Me@ (If you don't think Todd is the best Lauren Lapkus character you can go and eat suckin' lollipops all day and night.)

9.) Ya'll Heard Any Of These Names Before? (Genuinely don't even find this one that funny, but it has one of the best "stories" of any CBB episode. When they realise who is stealing the water and react with genuine surprise it's so much fun.)

10.) Lumber Hack (Actually not a fan of quite a bit of this one, but the second half, especially the stuff about Horatio Sanz, totally makes up for it.)

Check out the charts it's the Hollywood charts! BRO!

  3. Samberg is definitely top 10 best CBB guests, in the way that you can tell they are so comfortable and goofy with each other that they both have a blast being completely weird and random with each other

I kind of loved the total unprofessionalism of it. It was like they totally forgot they were doing a comedy podcast and just genuinely focused all their energy on getting that theme song right. I totally prefer that there is sections like that to the alternative of the show being really slick all the time.

  4. I'm sure lots of people will have said this before but I would love it if the CBB team came to the UK for a month and did a whole bunch of shows. If it was during the fringe or something they could even get in a few regulars as well.

Obviously there's loads of people that I'd like to see on the show but specifically working with the CBB style I'd love to see:

    Marcel Lucont

    Tim Key

    Vikki Stone

Kim Noble (though his personality might be a bit overpowering)

    Mr. Swallow

There's probably loads more, but those are the picks off the top of my head.

  5. I think my favorite thing about this episode is focusing on Traci Reardon's involvement in the drama, which is mostly confusion/mild amusement. The highlight of this is when she gets bored and just starts saying "Gutterbaaaalllss...." to make herself laugh.

She also does a lot of asking what's going on, meaning she's basically the Womptacular's equivalent of Ellen Page in Inception.

  6. So yeah, after months of listening to CBB and digging through the archives this is the episode that was finally hilarious enough to get me to join the forums. Mainly because I love Claudia O'Doherty and its so fantastic to hear someone whose had pretty much her entire career over here in Britain doing stuff in America. I do partly hope she still manages to come back here and do the Fringe, though.

But yeah anyway, great ep, I really hope there's more of Claudia coming soon (although she said on Twitter that she's back in London as of today so possibly not, depending on when they record stuff). I'm fairly sure I chose the best username reference from this episode but there were so many choices! Dentist The Mentalist, Rubbish Burglar, Judy Thunder, etc.
