Haven't listened yet but pumped that Gino is back! Been waiting for him to show up again. EDIT: That was a good show! </Tiny voice> Loved Gino's reference to getting his story on The Moth. Also, Mookie, can you get your name legally changed? Every time I see your name I think of Spike Lee. Thanks.

Eddies was one of those names I would skip over when I first got into the podcast and was trying to go through some of the backlog (I've still got plenty, been bouncing around and relistening to some favorites and ones I previously skipped between new episodes). Not sure whether it was due to being unfamiliar with his work, or just assuming he wouldn't be good in this shows format. I did listen to this one, but I think moreso for Patton at the time. After going back and hearing this one again and listening to his first appearance as the teamster character, I have come to appreciate him much more, really funny guy. Going to have to listen to his newer episode and the one in between soon.

So does Scott always do a Michael Jackson joke at the end of each "Who Said It?"... cause after hearing this one, I'm pretty sure he's done it at least one other time, and that would be a pretty good running gag. Bravo, sir. -

Episode 319 — Return to Suicide House Part Gore

is there something more lewd than an orgy? maybe if monster fuck 3 had been a monster gangbang, that would've left room for monster fuck 4 to be the orgy. i'm not sure that more monsters could be fucking! -

Episode 103 — These Times They Are A-Changin'

I love it when they grill a character guest on their history and try to get them to stumble on their personal facts. Good stuff. -
Finally, the definitive versions of Elton John's oeuvre.

Oh man Harris is the master of purposefully bombing. Also, I know the message is a few years old, but I don't know where the hell the animosity towards Natasha comes from. She's been pretty funny on all her appearances here, sounds like someone has a stick up their butt.

*Wyatt Cenac gets hit in the groin by a soccer ball* Matt Besser: It's got to be skaaaaa, I't got to be SKA-aaaaahhhhhhh. *skanks*

Really enjoyed that submission from Chester Shinoda. More people should submit other people's work under their names! Also I suspect that name is a pseudonym based off the members of Linkin Park (Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda).

This is a fun ep, great guests! All those miniature people and their miniature antics!

Similar story here. I got my ex to maybe listen to one episode of CBB and one HDTGM. Wasn't her thing. New girlfriend watches the CBB tv show with me on occasion, but I don't think she enjoys it as much as I do (though I think it's more accessible than the podcast for a first timer). Haven't had her listen to a podcast yet. My sister is into Phish so she enjoys Analyze Phish, but I don't really have anyone else in my life that listens to this stuff, which is too bad. I probably know people that enjoy individual comedians, but the podcast / improv stuff might not be there cup of tea. :/ Boo hoo.

Guys, call me crazy, but I've got a sneaking suspicion that this episode was NOT recorded in October!

I really liked Dane Cooks first album, and I saw him perform live once for a small crowd (Newport, RI, outdoor tent). Got on the bandwagon of hate when there was a backlash against him, justified by the following reasons: Noticed how fratbro-y his audience was (ughh, yuck) Noticed how thin some of his material was, and only sold on being overly physical or through vocal antics Heard about him stealing material from other people In retrospect, I was probably a little harsh. He definitely blew up and got overexposed, and I still think my beefs were fairly legit (especially the joke stealing shit, what are you, Carlos Mencia?!?), but he's definitely a funny guy. I have more respect from him now from his appearance (he's only done this once? for some reason I swore he was on an older episode), and should probably give his newer material / specials a shot. Oh, but then again he voiced that plane in that Planes movie, which my son made me see, and that movie had no soul. Fuck this guy. ( ) EDIT: I forgot to mention, Neil is always a welcome guest! I'm not sure if there's any character guests I DON'T like, but I don't think he's done a character I didn't appreciate.

Episode 18 — Songs of Innocence Physical Release Special
CraigEminger replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
The lack of sub-podcasts did jump out at me, but I'm kinda glad they took a break from that for (at least) one ep. The subpodcast running jokes are sublime, but in some of the latter episodes I began to wonder if they were doing them more for us than themselves, like they might have felt obligated to do them because they were so popular. And I really enjoy this podcast because it feels like banter between friends that just happens to be super hilarious, and the way they get lost in different stories and realize the shows running so long, etc.. but they aren't doing it for us, per se. Does that make sense? Just my thought on that. -

I hope he picks this for the Halloween episode. Nice job. -
Thats why I love Hot Dog and his unwavering devotion to Sha Na Na. So upbeat and spirited! Oh and those Mike Phirman songs were fantastic -- especially liked "Irony and Wine".

I can't believe that they shit on some of these jukebox jury submissions, and yet seem to give this plugs theme a pass. The one used in this one is a lazy, overplayed joke (ironic, swear heavy fake rap), but they give it praise over jukebox submissions that are at least somewhat creative. Hmph! Otherwise, excellent ep. Higgins was pretty good, should try to get his brother on sometime.

nice work on the plugs theme, whoever did that one!

I wanted to like Greenberg, but I didn't.

Scott calling out DSOWD's song for sounding like Weezer.

Amazing meltdown at the end. I know some episodes Adomian comes on a bit strong and sometimes steps on the other guests a bit, but he's really talented.

Oh boy. That WYD question about Kermit... probably some of the best WYD material I've heard there haha.
