This is my first listen to an Armen episode, Besser really made it worthwhile. I love how he ribs people, you can tell it comes from a good place, and its quite entertaining to me when he does it. I'm not sure how much I'll like the other Armen episodes, but I'll give them a shot.

If anyone was on the fence about feminism before, this would push them over that edge. -
That was excellent. I enjoy Willie Geist.

In the case of The Upright Citizen Fish Brigade and Birthday Rudeboys, its both!

Guess you couldn't find any pictures without watermarks or signatures on them?

Hah, short and sweet. Hope they use this, slips of the tongues would be a good premise! -
Episode 111 - Six Inch Witch

Oh my god, fuck this Doug Levinson guy. Name-dropping. Invoking 9/11. Sanctimonious asshole. What a miserable little man. You can't treat people like that. Who the fuck is HE. His website is shit, his photographs are fucking amateur. Where is someone to yell at him and bully him for his shitty art? Don't fucking validate this dude. He is the epitome of a nobody who thinks he is somebody. I don't care how bad that trumpet guys music was, there's no justification for his stubby little rage. EDIT: I should probably add something beyond my own little man rant. Really enjoyed the rest of the episode, (once we got over the phone call hump), and congrats on being immortalized in trading card form! EDIT EDIT: I hope those uggo acquaintances of the teen intern didn't/don't listen to this one! EDIT EDIT EDIT: Did a shirt or whatever get attached to some of those cards? All the ones I saw online just seemed to be plain pictures.- 28 replies

I'm sure some people might've felt it coming from a mile away, but I didn't see the final gag of the AIN'T skit coming, so I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the first episode of the show, but this one definitely felt more cohesive. Imagine it will get even more so as Horatio finds his groove. <Insert joke about Stella here. No, not that Stella. The black one.>

@StanSitwell: I have a hard time not disparaging country music because all I hear is the pop-county stuff, but you're spot on about the pop-rap stuff (and just pop in general). There's definitely a real country scene somewhere (don't care to find it, myself), just as there is good underground/indie/non-mainstream hip-hop. I hypocritically shit on the pop-country scene though, because pop-rap is a guilty pleasure of mine, but I realize its just as shitty and shallow. I find the music behind it far more interesting though. Anyways, fun episode, I'm usually leery of guests that are normies, contest winners and the like, but Randy, you're a cool dude. And all that swag!

Episode 109 — LIVE from Bumbershoot Pt. 2

Man some real douchey people in the crowd. Between the one guy about the research, and the ones getting indignant about Pokemon and fucking Air Force One, I would just not want to interact with them at all lol. -

Haha yeah I had googled Encino Man during that segment because I couldn't remember the third person either.

I want to give you props but you whiffed a teeny bit on the delivery. It would be Horatio Sans.

Really excellent Would You Rather? this episode. Jim is definitely great at digging into the particulars of the scenario.

I enjoyed Season 1 pretty thoroughly but Season 2 is definitely a step up. I think there was only one episode that was a little flat for me, I think it was "Love Date Hump". However I only watched it once so maybe I would like it better after revisiting.

Me too. I know some of the other guys can get lost in the mix, but Mitchell and Tim stand out pretty well too.

Episode 207 — Grown Ups 2 Causes Terrorism

Hmm. I was expecting to like that Veronicas song more after the little bits I heard. But it was just the little bits. -
Wondering if this has been done before or not (pretty new listener), but it might be interesting to do some shows where you dig back into the Top 5 songs and/or movies from a past era (maybe X years back from the date of the show). Maybe an era that WeiWei is more fond of since he does not seem to love the modern charts much. If its been done before, my apologies!

Though I may be biased based on Kanye's use of the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92FCRmggNqQ

No love for "Diamonds Are Forever?". Thats cold. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doAy4Ivcidg

Eh. He could use the street cred. I guess he's not as squeaky clean as I thought then, but thats still not that edgy. Everyone gets arrested with drugs! Let me know when he's shot someone.

When life hands you lemons.....add some lime flavoring, carbonated water, sugar, and pour yourself an ice cold Sprite, baby.

I feel like I've seen plenty of "life hands you lemons" riffs here before, but this sounds like Scott would deliver it real nicely. -
Yeah I kinda just hate his smug face. He comes across as squeaky clean and his lyrics seem to portray him as having more of an edge, and I just don't buy it. However I do really like "Locked Out Of Heaven", even if it is a Police soundalike/ripoff. And I sorta like "Uptown Funk", but it totally feels like another ripoff of some funk band. Someone on the SoundCloud comments pointed out Morris Day and the Time, which sounds about right.

Episode 170 — Bring Your Dad In Day

I remember Assassins being a thing at my college in the early 2000s. Wasn't aware it was such a longtime tradition. I think they just threw balled up socks at people though? Or maybe just tagged them? Definitely no nerf guns or anything weapony. Either way I was (in my mind) too cool for that shit and did not participate.
