You people are precious I sang Armen's praises and someone even agreed with me. Then tha groupthink mobb exploded with faux-outrage. If the Earwolf forums require every post to be tailored to the whims of thin-skinned fanboys they should say so in the user agreement.

The white-knightery is people attacking me in this thread for things I said in a completely different thread, AFTER only saying positive things about this Twooch.
-
I did. White Knight Krew proceeded to jump all over my nethers anyway. Reread my first post, bud.
-
Seems like you care a whole lot, friend.

I was explicitly sympathetic - empathetic even - in my first post in this thread. I'm simply amused and fascinated by the Circle Jerk Fluff Squad. They act like I ran over their dog or something. This forum was built for listeners to share their reactions to podcasts, and that's exactly what I'm doing. I can't imagine how these people deal with real adversity in their real lives.

Sweet paragraph. It's adorable how hard you guys defend a Hollywood trustfund baby you don't even know. Are you sure you're not projecting about the Aspergers thing?
-
Did anybody actually read my post? I said this episode was a pleasant departure from the Armen I ususally loathe. Reading comprehension- not your forte, guys.
-
In what way am I being unreasonable? Please, elaborate. I look forward to your response.

Nah, I'll continue discussing podcasts on a podcast discussion forum, thanks. Quit being so sensitive.

As insufferable as it is to hear Armen complain about his charmed life in other episodes, it's kinda sweet hearing him use Twooch as a springboard for catharsis and actually talk about something for once. Especially having lost a best friend to heroin myself.

Aww, poor dear :*-(

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, especially about that whole anti-vax thing.

As an HH fan I'll be checking it out. Hopefully Armen will shed his infuriating meek, self-pitying schtick and get facetious like guests are supposed to be.

Adorable meltdown, Sooth. I must have overlooked the "anti-opinion clause" in the user agreement when I signed up. If you'll notice, I even gave Armen props for his mild improvement as a cohost last year before his regression for this appearance. I ain't even hating that hard.

100% genuine question.
-
My biggest question here is why so many white knights are leaping to the defense of an uber-wealthy, marginally talented Hollywood personality that they will never meet and who will never read this forum. NathanJPK? Any insight?
-
So you like the forums when it's all fluff and circle-jerking but can't deal when negative opinions are floating around? Welcome to the Internet, I guess.

Armen sort of started shaping up as a cohost when he hosted multiple consecutive eps (and Matt Besser ripped the shit out of him for like a whole episode) but now he's back to his old irritating self. It's so frustrating when he almost finishes a sentence/thought, then remembers his timid mumbly schtick and grinds to a halt. I also agree about the woe-is-me mentality. You're getting better work than you probably deserve, enjoy it broh.

EPISODE 349 — The 6th Anniversary Show!

Haha I didn't catch that Outkast line but it killed me when PFT says "I'll never forget where I was" when John Lennon briefly died. -

Fantastic ep. Hanford is insanely consistent on this show, and I agree that Middleditch would be a great regular guest. My only complaint is Whitehead's character. What was she thinking? -
^there seemed to be weird a weird undercurrent of animosity between How and Ku (from Ku's end specifically). I thought I was overthinking it but it definitely seemed like more than the normal ribbing.

Such a great ep and great palate cleanser after Monday. Pollack fits in nicely as a CBB guest, and I also wouldn't have known about Misery Loves Comedy for months had it not been for this episode. I rented it last night and enjoyed the hell out of it. There was a good range of comedic talent from different eras, the pacing was solid and my eyes almost watered at the dedication with which it closed. I was kind of annoyed checking twitter and seeing the top post associated with the movie was a douchey Wired article telling readers to boycott this movie because there weren't enough women or minorities featured (of which there were several). Sorry to break it to you, Wired, but the majority of successful big-name comics are white men. It's not Pollack's fault, you chodes.
