Ha, that's rad! I laughed on the 'cast when you said "i've heard all the arguments," because i'm certain it's true. Yet still, I cannot help but try and push my beliefs onto others who have already made their opinions clear. I'm like a Jehovah's Witness that drinks and does drugs.

Giving Harris shit about Phish seems pretty ubiquitous among his friends, at least that's the impression I get from the podcastiverse. And it seemed like he embraced it. By conventional standards shitting on a recently passed person's favorite band as a memorial would be in poor taste, but in the upside-down world of comedy this seems kind of perfect.

SORRYSORRYSORRY I can't help it. If you like dark, nasty, balls-to-the-wall rock and roll music and don't think 18:08-19:50 of the following video is powerful as fuck, I just don't even know (purely improvised, mind you). I'm so weak...

Lol, i'm a Phish fan too and yes it makes my skin crawl hearing people hate on it, but before i got into them i was so rabidly anti-Phish it wasn't even funny so I get it. The nerd in me always just wants to scream BUT WHAT ABOUT THE WENT GIN?! STARD: i just don't see how you can't love the shredding peak of the Bowie ending! It's objectively good. After almost 10 years of Phish fandom, I wish my gut would stop instinctively trying to argue in favor of Phish (and similarly the Disco Biscuits, an even more embarrassing addiction). Unfortunately I don't think it ever will.

EPISODE 221 — A Tribute To Harris Wittels
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
I loved this. Between welling up at the CBB intro on Monday and this one today I must have looked like one manic motherfucker walking my dog in the mornings this week. RC: ate a cheeseburger for Harris today. <3 -
Motherfuckers wanna laugh.

Scott's shaky voice in the intro is making me tear up. Looking forward to this ep even though it will be tough. Love ya Harris Love ya earwolf forum chums -
EPISODE 12 — T.G.I.G.O.T.G.OST with Sean Clements and Hayes Davenport

Didn't read thread, but until this episode my affection for this show had all but evaporated despite my love of LL. HO-LYY SHIT! This episode murdered me all the way through. I will definitely start listening to HH, I avoided it due to the premise but after hearing these 2 guys i realized what I should have known all along - the premise of "how to make it in the biz" is purely facetious. All 3 of them are firing on all cylinders, I wish i'd discovered these guys sooner. "Now people have told me that this is a comic book, but i don't see bow that can be possible. First of all... no Spiderman." "What are these guys' lives like?!" I see from the length of this thread I'm probably not alone, but I just had to express my adoration for this episode from the mountaintop aka top of page 7! WOOOOO! -
Sending so many good thoughts to his friends and family. This is the hardest a show business passing has hit me in my entire life, and I know it's an illusion but it really felt like I knew the guy. So funny and relatable, especially as a fellow Phish fan. The outpour of love and support on the Phish boards is really beautiful to see and I'm glad he touched so many people so positively. His F&R CBB episodes and Phoam Corners specifically have been go-tos to cheer me up during tough times. Much love Harris, thanks for so many laughs over so many mediums over the years.

Agreed, especially all the talk about Cassady's wedding.

Nice! Howard is an acquired taste for sure. I couldn't stand him at first, I thought his manner of speaking was a feaux-stoner pandering schtick and couldn't deal with it. Then i realized he is a real-deal space cadet (not unlike myself) with an incredibly brilliant and unique perception of the world delivered in a sometimes clunky but always endearing fashion. Now he's one of my favorite underrated podcast/comedy fixtures. Not quite a spirit-guide but certainly a summah-guide.

First of all, TRAGIC that Thorn made no mention at all of Mac Dre during the Yay Area answer. Secondly, you can't really knock him for the race comparison. He certainly could have phrased it in a more politically correct fashion but to deny it is to be willfully obtuse. Also, it's stating the obvious but I'll never tire of hearing Bruno Mars' writers/producers get called out for making the most derivitive trash in the world. Especially stealing from lesser known artists like Breakbot. Breakbot original: Mars camp's shitty nearly identical knockoff:

EPISODE 219 — Live From Cobb's Comedy Club
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
Generally I'd agree with you but the Matt Jones ep was great as was this one. I also love the audience participation in these things. #chartist4L -
Holy shit, Stard saying "I love that dream" after Howard's description of his cousin with candy-cane legs killed me. So good.

Episode 10 — The Wild Horses Show

I don't believe I'm smart enough to dig on pure improv. I gave this one a shot for like 20 minutes, does it pick up steam after that or am I just a dumb pleb thirsty for the absurdity of CBB? -
Engineer Sam! Check out the Drought 3 for some prime Weezy!

Nice job, man. great vibes the whole episode and the gift seg at the end was - for lack of a better term - heartwarming.

"A c'casian is an occasion when you do c'caine." This episode is unsurprisingly incredible. 2015 is off to a great start.

Is this a bit? Did I miss an episode where this was established? Scott is usually so well spoken, just seems weird.

Sweet, sweet vindication in Best Ofs #2. Thank you PFT!

I'm so glad Kulap mentions how Hunger Games is a blatant rip-off of Battle Royal. I've been ranting about this since i saw the first one with my girlfriend and nobody ever knows what I'm talking about.

Episode 206 — Career Killing Commercials
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
Alright clearly it's no use arguing with the Pepitone White Knight Brigade, but I will say that by everyone's logic in here: movies should only run in theaters for 4 weeks, and anybody who didn't see them in that timeframe doesn't deserve to. Brilliant notion guys, you should all work in the movie business. -

Wow, you're mad. I love how bunched the panties get around here if somebody makes one complaint abput an episode. I didn't ask for the episode to be edited, I just said it was a dick move on Pepitone's part to spoil a popular movie that's still in theaters. What do you have to gain by your aggressive fanboy douchebaggery? Do you think Eddie Pepitone is going to give you an HJ for defending his internet honor? Nerds. -

Check out the obsession. I wasn't a dick to 'Stard in any way, shape or form. Nice try.
