EPISODE 16 β The Sweet Sound of Success with Max Success Champion
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Short and sweet, baby. I'm so glad human anatomy doens't work the way Lauren implies it does in these shows. Leathery sack of chips? -

For some reason I envision Paul and June recording this in bed at the end of a long day, just quietly trying to make sense of Zardoz before going to sleep.

Is there a possibility of the episodes getting edited into an omnibus edition? I'd appreciate that like the place where the lead singer from Creed lives now... A lot.

I've heard of Hollywood nights, but Hollywood forum avatars?! -
EPISODE 14 β Talking with Tommy LIVE from RIOT LA
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Apollo Thirteen? More like Apollo Thorteen! This episode was fantastic all on it's own and I don't want to drag Harris into every conversation on the site but Rippin' On Things had a lovely Foam Corner feel to it that I especially appreciated today. Start over! We love the game. -

I happily RSVP that this will be going in my earholes for the next two hours! -
EPISODE 13 β The Tom Leykis Radio Program
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I didn't know Leykis was a real person until after hearing Adomian's impression- I thought it was an original character. You can imagine my horror upon learning the truth. -
Regarding skeleton couples, there have been several interesting finds at Pompeii. Also, if the Futurama episode 'Jurassic Bark' makes you cry you might want to avoid looking for the 'Pompeii dog'.

"How old are you?" "Seventeen." "When are you turning eighteen?" "I don't know. It could be a couple more years." [off mic] "WAAAAAAUGH!!!"- 93 replies

EPISODE 13 β The Tom Leykis Radio Program
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Jesus! Listening for the first twenty minutes I wondered how Lauren could possibly match James' performance and then she calls in... FUCK YES! I predict the most used phrase on this thread is going to be 'new favorite episode'.- 93 replies

EPISODE 12 β T.G.I.G.O.T.G.OST with Sean Clements and Hayes Davenport
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Oh my God, this was good. I know the the target of the joke is super-niche podcasts but by the end I honestly couldn't tell if they actually like or hate the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. It had an undercurrent reminiscent of You Talkin' U2 to Me (Who are the guardians? There's the raccoon rocket...). In the previous episode's comments I said I wanted to see Lauren et al push the premise further into weirdness and I feel like this episode backs me up on that. This was great! I went ga-ga for it! Absolutely ga-ga! -
Scott's Paul Lynde is as great as every other voice and character he does is terrible.

Episode 11 β Life's Miracles with Allen Carp
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
The only made up cards were from when Marianne was talking about making her own deck (it's a box with a lot of lines on it), the ones during the readings were real! Man with a long pole?- 9 of staves. Guy on the ground stabbed by a bunch of swords? 10 of swords. Child and gnome? 6 of cups. Being able to recognize which cards they were describing while clearly neither knowing or caring about getting them right made it even funnier for me. -
Episode 11 β Life's Miracles with Allen Carp
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Allen did a really good job of pushing Lauren for details. I was increasingly convinced Marianne was going to wind up as his sex partner/murder victim. I also would have loved if they had done a little more with the 'children of the damned' origin she implied early on. If I were to criticize anything it would be that the podcasts subject matter tends to blur together into general, vaguely new age, lifestyle shows. A lot of these guests have the chops to try something more daring and Lauren is definiitely capable of that sort of thing. -
I love that Lauren now has a totally solid narrative reason to be on every single episode until April. "Let me just hold my dick up to the mic..." May I recommend Mike Detective? "We're like a guy who swallowed a hammer!"

Episode 10 β The Wild Horses Show

Gah. I totally blanked on that. And it was one of the best episodes to boot! -
Episode 10 β The Wild Horses Show
Bumpy replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
That's a funny bunch of D.I.Y.C.s. The flurry of 'What's the one...?' could have gone on a lot longer and I still would have been amused. Now I just have to work on telling their voices apart better- two or even three is doable but all of them together makes it tough. I really hope Lauren brings them back in the regular format. One at a time to stretch it out! -
Episode 171 β Whatβs Your Profession?

I had one reaction to this: hee hee hee hee hee! -
It has a Burt Reynolds quality to it.
