I'm not HoldenMartinson or nickperkins, but you've still got a Homework thread. Next week Amy will be joined by Michael Nordine of Indiewire, the LA Weekly to pit Eraserhead (1977) against Blue Velvet (1986) in an all Lynch versus episode. (Hooray, Twin Peaks is back!) Here are some VOD links, apologies in advance for those of you outside of the US as these links may not be available in your region. https://www.justwatc...q=blue%20velvet https://www.justwatc...ch?q=eraserhead

Homework: Sign o' the Times (1987) vs Stop Making Sense (1984)
gene_shallot posted a topic in The Canon
In the spirit of NickPerkins, next week is Sign o' the Times (AKA Sign "☮" the Times) vs Stop Making Sense as per Amy's tweet. Stop Making Sense is available for digital rental at your purveyor of choice. Unfortunately Sign o' the Times seems to only be available for purchase on the Canadian iTunes store(?!) and out of print on physical media. Legally available, that is. *wink wink nudge nudge say no more* -

Available for digital rental. I reserved a copy at the library. I'm not willing to pay to rent this because 20 years ago I couldn't make it more than a half hour through this film. I thought Audrey Hepburn's character just needed a good slap. Hopefully I'm more mature now and can see what I missed the first time...

I might need some help with this; I can't find it for rent on Amazon or Vudu, or streaming/On Demand anywhere. Are there any streaming services specific to anime? I am terrified of Googling it.
