admin 330 Posted May 1, 2013 Andrew Ti & guests Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello get into whether the Boston bombers are considered to be white and if they agree with the label of racist & white supremacist to be the same. Stop all that racist shit and leave us a message at (323) 389-RACE. Share this post Link to post
AndyPacheco-Fores 437 Posted May 1, 2013 Muslim = Not White in this racist-ass country of ours ugh. McVeigh is a tricky example to use with terrorism-related stuff because he was pre-9/11. 1 Share this post Link to post
Hyde Parker 9 Posted May 1, 2013 Muslim = Not White in this racist-ass country of ours ugh. A lot of Turks, Syrians, Lebanese, and Iranians are pretty white-looking, the near-east and central Asia being the genetically heterogeneous regions they are. Chechens aren't any different in that regard. If one of the Tsarnaev brothers told you he was white, you'd believe him. Share this post Link to post
Joshie 125 Posted May 1, 2013 A lot of Turks, Syrians, Lebanese, and Iranians are pretty white-looking, the near-east and central Asia being the genetically heterogeneous regions they are. Chechens aren't any different in that regard. If one of the Tsarnaev brothers told you he was white, you'd believe him. You don't even have to go that far... I had a buddy Sabit from Albania who was straight up blond, no one would say he wasn't white... and even the Grand Dragon would say someone like Abdal Hakim Murad is a white man: There are plenty of white Muslims, maybe not as a proportion of all Muslims, but there's still millions of them Also: bringing up McVeigh was totally dumb, of course we didn't talk about detaining him indefinitely as an enemy combatant, because we didn't do that during the Clinton administration, because it was Bush butt buddies John Yoo and David Addington that wrote the justification for it years later. It it seriously asking too much of the show to be familiar with racism topics from only 15 years ago? That's within all of our lifetimes Share this post Link to post
president cage 13 Posted May 2, 2013 Yeah, everyone called McVeigh a terrorist at the time. We didn't call him an "enemy combatant" because the Neo-Cons hadn't pushed that term into our vocabulary yet. Share this post Link to post
