JulyDiaz 2797 Posted May 2, 2014 Andrew Ti and special guests from The Asian Student Union finish the week off by discussing if it’s racist to correct other people’s incorrect grammar. As always, leave us a message about anything you think is racist at (323) 389-RACE. 1 Share this post Link to post
slinky 147 Posted May 2, 2014 It would've been nice for the guests to put in a bit of effort for this one. Share this post Link to post
dlo burns 129 Posted May 2, 2014 Ta-Neshi Coates has an excellent piece basically about this, and how policing grammar is a way to police minorities (of any race) http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2013/08/english-is-a-dialect-with-an-army/278300/ It would've been nice for the guests to put in a bit of effort for this one. I thought they did pretty fine, especially for hungover college kids who've probably never had any radio experience. I only wish they had some better mics, but it was surprisingly good for just merely using a laptop. 2 Share this post Link to post
slinky 147 Posted May 2, 2014 They did better the other 4 days, maybe it just wasn't as interesting of a question to engage them for Friday. Share this post Link to post
