Butter (2011) is a hilariously terrible movie featuring Jennifer Garner, Ty Burell, Olivia Wilde, Alicia Silverstone, Rob Corddry, Kristen Schaal, and Hugh Jackman.

 

The synopsis from IMDB: "In Iowa, an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest."

 

Some highlights:

-The foster kid, at her first competition, sculpts Harriet Tubman sitting on top of a train. The competing sculptures are a family praying before dinner, kittens in a basket, and a block of butter with a large 'A' written in red lipstick.

-Olivia Wilde, a stripper who has been harassing Ty Burell at his house for the money he owes her, gains the admiration of his daughter (who's still in high school) and goes down on her in her room.

-The stripper dumps the high school girl after she gets the money and rides her bicycle through a marching band.

-Hugh Jackman thanking God for keeping Jennifer Garner's vagina in the same condition it was in high school.

-Kristen Schaal

 

This entire movie is bananas. It's horrible and I highly recommend it. Currently available for streaming on Netflix.

The idea of butter sculpture seems odd, even though it's apparently a real thing, but the movie is quite good. It's a well crafted story about a number of eccentric characters doing a number of interesting, if odd sometimes, things.
