AlanCerny 0 Posted April 1, 2016 I don't see the films of Akira Kurosawa being discussed in the Canon, and I'd like to remedy that with a film that is considered one o the greatest of all time. It's certainly my favorite movie. You would think this would be a no-brainer, but I'd love to see Devin and Amy tackle this movie, how it influenced pretty much everybody, how they personally responded to the film, and how this classic still holds up today. Think about it! Thanks. Share this post Link to post
JonHillman 40 Posted April 1, 2016 While I'm pretty sure Seven Samurai would be the slam dunk winner, I think a versus between it and The Magnificent Seven would still be interesting just to hear the discussion about the relationship between not only those two, but between a huge junk of 60s westerns and samurai films. 1 Share this post Link to post
gene_shallot 79 Posted April 2, 2016 Severe lack of Kurosawa (even though I think nearly all would be shoo-ins). Share this post Link to post
Marsellus_H 118 Posted April 4, 2016 I really, really would love to a Kurosawa episode. Maybe a versus episode with two of his films up against each other could be fun. Share this post Link to post
