This movie is Herbie “The Love Bug” meets “Rad”.  It’s one of those movies that made complete sense to me as a child. But now I see it’s completely nonsensical plot. A Dirt Bike revs to life because he’s found a “special rider”. There’s an evil misogynist bank manager, a randomly appearing biker gang, a hotdog restaurant to save and did I mention a magical randomly FLYING dirt bike?

Its also one of a Christmas Story’s Peter Billingsly’s only other staring roles.

I saw this movie recently on Prime video and it was absolutely mind boggling. Sentient dirt-bike aside, the fact that Mike let those kids absolute DESTROY his hot dog restaurant, the one they're trying to save, was bananas. There was some kind of old man at the dirt bike race who I don't remember coming back into the plot at all, when he seemed to be the one leading Peter Billingly to the sentient bike. The bank manager Mr. Hodgkins is an attempted serial rapist - ONE WOMAN JUMPED OUT A WINDOW TO GET AWAY FROM HIM! And these children somehow hack into the bank's computer, WHAT!? More people need to be talking about this movie

Yes please, I suggest they do a double header with either one of the Skateboard Kid movies.
