TheLibrarian 0 Posted May 22, 2017 I caught this movie on cable years ago and it has, henceforth, become my absolute go-to bad/hilarious/absurd movie choice. You have a constantly-sweaty Ashley Judd, a deaf-mute Viggo Mortensen who whistles and grunts through the whole movie, a crazy-pants uber-religious obsessive psycho orphan in Brendan Fraser...and eventually, a boat-sized sequin-covered shoe floating down a river (yes, an enormous floating shoe).  It ramps up from weird to outright insanity super quick. All you can do is watch, wide-eyed and wondrous, mouth agape, as this POS movie progresses through its complicated but utterly senseless plot till Brendan Fraser drenches himself with blood. It's all kinds of greatness wrapped up in the worst movie ever made.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHFhUt60xxo  https://www.rottento...of_darkly_noon/  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114099/ Share this post Link to post
Ofcoursemyhorse 1043 Posted May 24, 2017 I think Ashley Judd is just naturally shiny. She has the same thing going on in Double Jeopardy too. Share this post Link to post
Ofcoursemyhorse 1043 Posted September 28, 2019 Have to bump this for anyone who hasnt seen this and only know Brendan Fraser from stuff like Blast from the Past and George of the Jungle. This movie is absolutely insane and really shows how under utilized he was as an actor for much of his career. He both fortunately and unfortunately became widely recognized by studios for his ability to work well with movies that were heavy on green screen and being able to bring life to characters that werent on screen. And as much as I enjoy his limitless energy in stuff like Looney Tunes Back in Action or Dudley Do-Right i'm kind of bummed we didnt get to see him in more movies like this or Gods and Monsters. 1 Share this post Link to post
