Earwolf is hosting a holiday carol contest. We want you to create original or parody songs inspired by Earwolf. A winner will be selected, and have their song featured on the Earwolf blog. You’ll also receive a prize from the Earwolf store, and (drumroll, please) your song will be featured on an upcoming episode of an Earwolf show! What are you expecting as far as audio quality goes? I don't really know how to go about recording my song because I only have a flip camera, which seems terrible. I may be willing to buy a microphone or something, but I don't know if that would do anything more for the sound. I don't know anything about anything.

Valerie, we're not picky regarding sound quality, as this contest is just for fun. There are some cost effective mics, if you are in the market for one, but your camera may do an alright job of recording. When I record, I try out a few rooms in the house, to find the best, most quiet spot for recording. Also, here's an audio forum topic that may be of some use to you: http://www.earwolf.com/forums/topic.php?id=604 Ultimately, we want to encourage you to submit a song, so as there's only a week left to enter yours, please don't worry about setting up an elaborate recording area. We look forward to hearing your submission!
