These past two movies have been "movies I wanted to see as a kid because all my friends saw them, but I wasn't allowed to." Shout out to my parents though, because though I laughed my ass off at Deep Blue Sea now, it would have scarred me as a kid. I am VERY excited to see what Lake Placid has in store...

First of all, shout out to Paul F. for being so irritated with how clearly obvious it was that the opening scene was shot on a soundstage/tank. I was laughing my ass off at how bad that looked. I've also got to say I'm in the camp that would argue the shark was consciously turning that oven on. Which means I also said "are you fucking kidding me?!" and died laughing at that part.

Let's discuss who had the worst death. I've gotta say Stellan Skarsgard. You have your arm bit off, but good news, the rescue copter is here! They hook you up to oxygen, you're good. Just kidding, the winch holding the stretcher snaps, into the cold ocean you go in the middle of a storm. You can breathe, but you can't move. And then the cherry on the sundae-a giant shark, as a giant "fuck you" to the scientists, hurls you at the window. Poor bastard.

The Thomas Jane criminal thing was so idiotic. We have Sam Jackson tell him "I know you have a criminal past, so I have my eye on you.." and then it's basically dropped. I guess maybe in making him the hero, they're trying to make it a redemption story? But it's dropped early enough and not referenced enough that it makes no fucking sense to have it in the first place. Ugh.

I can't count the number of times I've had to select "subscribed" on my iPhone. Probably a dozen at this point. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY SUBSCRIBED, PLEASE

That was really dumb, but so damn entertaining! Jesus, seeing that annoying dancing woman being engulfed in flames actually got a cheer from me. And I never thought these words would leave my mouth, but...LL Cool J was the best part of that movie. As the Zouks would put it he fuckkkkinnnnggggg....nails it.

Granted, I would have loved to see Raylan Givens show up in this idyllic North Carolina town and take down the evil husband...

Am I the only one who burst out laughing at the shot where when she's reading the letter (or shortly thereafter?) there's a shot of them walking and they added a silly edit of Colby Smothers (sic) fading away? That's like the wavy, washed out look on flashbacks. Julianne Hough ain't that much, but dammit if Josh Dumahel (sp?) isn't charming, like they said. I kind of think of him as rom-com Timothy Olyphant.

First of all,I never intended to shit on other people's opinion of the guests, and I'm not sure how I came across that way. Second of all, I just came here to voice my opinion. What's frustrating me is people are taking that as me being extra aggressive and going out of way to be negative. I didn't like the episode or what the guests added, but that's merely my personal opinion and I've got NOTHING against the people who did. So can we stop getting upset?

I'm really just confused about why I can't express my distaste for guests. Does that personally offend people and if so, why?!?! I didn't say ANYTHING poor about them as people, just that I didn't like them as guests. HUUUUUUGEEEE difference. Don't worry, I'll be sunshine and roses from now on.

#1 I can't post unless it's something positive? Noted. Give me a break. #2 I wanted to post my reaction to finishing the episode. This seems to have taken over your life a lot more than I should. Let me break it down: -I listened to half of it, and didn't like it. Thought I would finish it. -I finished it, and said unfortunately I still didn't like it. -You acted like I pissed in your Cheerios. I didn't like the guests because I thought they were boring and unfunny. Is that better? Move on, dude.

Yeesh people, sorry I said I didn't like it! I hope I didn't destroy your day(s)! For the record, I love this show, it's my favorite podcast. I just didn't care for this episode. Why does that boil people's blood so much?

It pains me to say it but...I didn't like that episode. At all. With no disrespect to them, I thought the guests were probably the weakest that have ever been on. And I get differing opinions, but the fact that Jason loved this movie and cried at the end was so so odd to me. Oh well, still love you guys for putting this sow out and helping make the commute to work a lot easier!

Halfway through and I gotta say...not loving this week's guests. They're not adding that much, and not really standing out at all. I'm also shocked Jason both loved this movie, and cried at the end.

That's the biggest problem with this movie, there is so much shitty, shitty filler that is boring as all hell. "How about a 15 minute segment about him giving her a bike? Sound good?" The last 40 minutes is actually exciting part, so see if you can find it somewhere else and finish it, because that's when it gets REALLY bonkers.

That was, really more than anything, really fucking boring! They could have very easily cut it down by half an hour. I look forward to hearing how much Jason jerked off once he found out she was a ghost.

I'm gonna watch this tonight with my fiancee, who, coincidentally jokingly (?) said we should watch this movie because she knows it's the kind that I really loathe. But based on what I'm hearing, I'm kind of excited drink and just watch the bonker-ness unfold. Just don't do me like Zardoz, where I watched it and then waited almost 3 weeks to hear your thoughts on it...

Just came here to recommend this very movie! I saw it at a "midnight madness" screening on my birthday a few years back and had a fucking blast. It is so ripe for this show! Lots of stuff for Jason to jerk it to.

I think you're prevented from doing so? Can't remember if they mention that in passing in the movie, but I think that's the deal.

Brett's theory that the stone mouth shot out more GUNS out instead of just bullets so it would fire up the Brutals more is hilarious, and surprisingly on point. Only halfway through the ep because I split it for each way on my commute, but loving it so far. Bummed June didn't make it but Brett has been one of my favorite guests so far and the dynamic has been great!

I'm gonna...I'm gonna go home and bite my pillow! That's what I'm gonna do!

Having watched it yesterday, I was maybe surprised by the most by the amount of BEWBS in this movie! Just bwebs, causally hanging out in vacuum sealed bags. Next level bonkers.

How could you talk so much about the homoeroticism (was happy to hear that mentioned first thing by the way, cause it's all I could see) and not mention them wanting to blow that dude's dick off?! They straight up reached in his pants and dropped a grenade in them. As Jason would say...that is next level bonkers.

From several episodes of HDTGM, after playing a particularly ridiculous clip: "That was a scene that was IN this MOVIE!"
