Oh my, this movie. I have to admit, I have always loved Angelina Jolie. I was 12 when Hackers came out and I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single repressed gay thought that I had before that terrible, amazing movie, pretty much came bubbling up when I saw her in it. I came out and told my friends I was bisexual because of that woman and I have been a big fan ever since. My fangirl love of her has changed though, I still admire her but she's too thin now and it's the kind of thin that provokes concern more than anything. All that being said, she was fucking terrible in this movie and no amount of love can make me deny that. The thing is, if you had told me in 2003 that these two were going to do a sexy movie together, I would have been very excited about this movie. However it came out later, when she stopped being sexy and was full blown skinny humanitarian Jolie and he... well, he looks like a skeevy dirtball. Seriously, he's gross now, and whatever charisma and charm he had seems to have left him. I know many would disagree with me, but I think he's one of the most unappealing movie stars right now. The one good thing I can say about this movie is that they look age appropriate for each other I guess.

The school bus scene is fantastic. I was an extra on this film and it was super fun, really good atmosphere and a lot of the people involved had a real love for the genre. I was covered in blood, given a sawed off shotgun and got to be in the shootout scene with the police, I felt like the badass that I'm not.

This movie came out when I was 10 and I thought it was the best movie ever, I was in love with John Leguizamo. I played this song so much that I'm pretty sure my mom 'accidentally' threw out the tape when she was cleaning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=733O0xJDx8o

I had to add this one, especially since On The Line was one of my favorite HDTGM episodes.

Did every song on that soundtrack have a Godzilla themed music video? I would love to know how much money was put into hyping up that movie.

Thank you. Obviously, the Puff Daddy/Jimmy Page collaboration is the best song on the Godzilla soundtrack and of all time (even without proof, I'm confident that every person on this message board can rap better then Puff Daddy) but I remember the hype surrounding The Wallflowers covering a Bowie song for the soundtrack as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g2VdB4YpzQ

The Scarlet Letter (1995)
ShannEffect replied to inactiveuser501's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
It's weird, but I get this movie mixed up with The Crucible all the time. I know both of the stories, they are both collecting dust on my bookshelf. I think I always assume Winona Ryder was in this one and Demi Moore was in The Crucible, because you know they are so much alike. Anyway, I haven't seen this one since it came out on VHS, but I do remember Gary Oldman having some sort of crying freak-out and thinking this movie was really lame and the everyone needed to calm the fuck down. Why the guy at the rental store let a twelve year old rent this movie, I have no idea. -
It's a fine, fine ass. I'm glad I'm not the only woman who felt compelled to come onto the forum and reveal that they like looking at butts.

I hadn't thought of it before but now I'm kind of stunned HDTGM hasn't covered any Adam Sandler movies before. Have they covered any Happy Madison movies? I'm pretty sure the majority of them are worthy of the show. I realized at the age of 16 that I was finally maturing when I started understanding the women who dumped Sandler at the beginning of his movies, like 'Yeah, I'd dump him too, he seems like he has real anger management and maturity issues.'

So, I've seen references to HDTGM vs HIMYM on the forum and I'm rather confused about it. What is the origin story? Or is the flu medicine I'm taking fucking with my head and I'm hallucinating words that aren't there? Either way, I hate HIMYM.

Finally, a forum I can call home.

I remember watching this movie for the first time at a bad vampire movie party. That same night I saw Dracula 2000 and Return to Salem's Lot, and I think Once Bitten may have been the best of the three which isn't saying much, but I just couldn't deny Jim Carreys' slick dance moves.

I think what I like about this movie is that there is a degree of taking itself seriously. I don't like the Sharknado movies because they know how bad they are and they are trying to be as terrible as possible but Deep Blue Sea is different, I feel like they tried to make a serious badass shark movie with some elements of comedy and what they did was make a fantastically bad movie, which makes me love it. Upon thinking about it, I think there may be something wrong with me that I enjoy terrible movies that were made by people who thought they were going to make something legitimately good but I hate movies that are bad on purpose.

Personally, LL Cool J saying 'You ate my bird' before killing a shark was my favorite scene in the movie. Anything involving Ladies Love Cool James in relation to this movie is fantastic, his ending credits song was fantastic and I want it to be my wedding song.

Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?
ShannEffect replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I recommended Longshot (2001): http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/21456-longshot-2001/ Here is the trailer: It's just... an amazing film. It should really get more attention than it has, if only to piss off Justin Timberlake. -
This movie was written by Lou Pearlman, the guy who brought us N'Sync, the Backstreet Boys and a lot of the other bubblegum pop groups from the late 90's to early 00's. He's in jail now, but he left us this movie, which is completely effing insane. It's ultimately just a promotional tool for those groups, but the story line in it is amazing. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0201694/ The summary: Jack Taylor is a Beverly Hills gigolo who is blackmailed by a corrupt and powerful businessman, Laszlo Pryce. He is forced to seduce a wealthy widow in NYC to obtain insider information so his blackmailer can profit. Jack desperately tries to prevent harm coming to his little brother Alex, but unexpectedly falls for the woman he is forced to betray. Now, he must choose. The thing is, the dvd case implied that this is a movie about a high school kid who wants to play basketball and get the girl so I was shocked and delighted that I got to see this whole other story line starring Paul Sorvino, Antonio Sabato Jr and Hunter Tylo. Shoehorned into what is already a hot mess of a movie is every group that Pearlman was managing at the time making bizarre cameos, some of them making great puns about their band names and basically winking at the camera.

This movie is amazing, I enjoyed the love triangle between Patrick Stewart, Brenda Fricker, and Vincent Kartheiser.
