Synopsis: Danny O'Neill is a bomb disposal expert assigned to a case where terrorists have developed an "invisible" liquid explosive which is activated within the human body. The targets of the terrorists are U.S. Senators, one of which is having an affair with Danny's wife. IMDB Found this film by pure chance and you can tell right away that is has one foot in the 80s and one in the 90s like many early 90s films. The basic premise of the film is insane, a liquid that can turn people into bombs yet you can cure them with antacid tablets. But to complicate matters further our hero has to save the guy who is estranged wife is now shacked up with. Apparently this was supposed to be a big summer box office movie and was made as such, but they decided against releasing it when it was done and just pushed it straight to TV instead.

I knew someone had to have suggested this one before. I just recently watched this and oh my god this is utter perfect fodder for the HDTGM team. There is just so much to cover from the actors in it, their characters and traits (as mentioned above ones like for only chocolate and coffee and nothing else) to the acting, the fact that london is flooded yet we can quite clearly see in many shots, it's not or the evil animal type thing (literal demonic monster) they fight at the end which looks like a rip of of the alien from Aliens. So much is covered and so much is not explained... love it absolutely loved this bat shit crazy film

This is one of the worst films I have seen in the last 10 years, absolutely nothign redeaming about it nor is there anythign really funny in it. I can't believe Mark Strong's agent even sugested doing this one, if he didn't fire him after doing it then he should have

I really wanted to like this film as it sounded like it should be pretty bonkers, but it just doesn't work. I will say that Brooke Shields looks the part in this film but her acting in it is so so poor, in fact most of the cast are pretty poor, so I am not sure if its them, the dialogue or just the film as a whole thats bad.

Synopsis for this film: Trailer: ( ) A friend who knows my love of b-movies, gave me this to watch and I have to say this is insane. There are a lot of parts that just do not make sense, we also have actors who can't portray emotions properly for the situation they are in. Our leads are women who kick ass and are tying to save the world, I think... I'm still not sure. But this is fairly enjoyable in a this is so bad it's good way and would provide a lot of discussion points for all the team.

Yeh the band named themselves after the film. Just recently watched this for the first time and this is a prime candidate for HDTGM, it is insane. There is so much to delve into and talk about with this film and the first hour ish is pretty good it's just the last 20 ish minutes that starts to let it down. Would love to hear what June thinks about the outfits on show and their house as I am sure she would have a lot to say, also how is she on alien's rights and treatment in films?

This film just didn't have any press in the UK when it came out and almost passed me by if it was not for a then little known band (HIM) having a song in the film that I used to see on the Viva music channel all the time. The scenes from the film got me intrigued in it and I sought it out when it came out on VHS and to be honest I liked it back then when I first saw it and still like this film now. It has a great concept behind it and I liked how it all ties together. -
I was going to re-watch this last weekend as I found my blu-ray copy, think I definately have to watch it this week now

And were the bad guys actually the police? He seemed to have a police badge and the van had police written on the side of it covered up with the removable logo for their shady company. What about the cruise, was it a swingers or a sex cruise they were on because it seemed to be a party boat then at one point there are a load of old couples having a nice relaxed boring dinner. What was with all the outfits the gang had on when they invaded the cruise ship, thats one hell of a weirdly dressed gang. Did the captain kill most of the people on the boat? As he announces on the tannoy that people should stay in their rooms when the boat is under attack, then literally seconds later he is seen getting into the only life raft jettisoned just before the boat explodes. I have so so many questions about this film as it just didn't answer them. Just when you think something is about to be explained everything changes.

I have recently been going through the older episodes of HDTGM and re listening to them on my way to work and going home and I just realized something when listening to the last HOWDIES episode. The last HOWDIES were back in 2016! So my question is, does anyone know if there any plans to have a new set of Howdies any time soon?

I had the pleasure of watching this strange film with a few friends over the weekend and whilst it is a b-movie I think much like some of the other 80s b-movies HDTGM have done it would provide so much to talk about and mock for all of the team. Without even scratching the surface the plot of this film is about a forbidden island that hosts Kung Fu Cannibals that can bring fallen warriors back to life and a group of holiday makers who seem to be versed in the martial arts that want to stop off at that island on their cruise even though most of the boat dont know what the island is. An island that also has a brochure for itself!?!? if that was not good enough we have a bad guy who speaks in a slight German accent and is a bit of a Hitler lookalike yet obviously is not German. IMDB's summary is: A group of martial arts students are en route to an island that supposedly is home to the ghosts of martial artists who have lost their honor. A Hitler lookalike and his gang are running a female slavery operation on the island as well. Soon, the two groups meet and all sorts of crazy things happen which include cannibal monks, piranhas, zombies, and more! Trailer here:

I watched this a couple of months back for the first time and like yourself I went in not expecting anything but I ended up enjoying it because there is just so many WTAF parts to it. IT is worth a watch for those who have not seen it just don't expect a proper horror film as this is more comedy than anything

Totally agree, just watched this a couple of weeks ago. This film has a good concept and the fact that its very 80s as well gives it an extra bit of something going for it but out of all of this film there is only about a third of a good film in there and that last 20 ish minutes and the ending.. what!?!

I had the pleasure of finding and watching this film a few weeks ago, this has so much going for it in a HDTGM way from who is in it (Casper Van Dien, Kim Cattrall, Craig Ferguson, Udo Kier to name a few), to the ridiculousness of the script and the campness that ensues at times. Kim and Craig seem to know what type of film this is a camp it up which just add's a comedy element to it that I am not sure the writer had intended. Also the Vampire hunter and his accomplish are such bad stereo types it just makes them even funnier. Loved this film as a kid, do not think it has held up as well as some others from around that time but it woudl be interesting fodder for the HDTGM team

yes love this film, it has so many truly insane moments. I do love how they go on about hope and peace, yet literally minutes before a couple of them go on a rage fulled killing rampage oh and who can forget this line, dropped by Jim "My Mother was Korean" All of that and you have the amazing Dragon Sound in there as well... 80s cinema gold!!!

Veronica_Sawyer it is totally like that but at the same time after someone gets raped and killed nothing happens or gets done, they don't even close the school. No wonder she goes on the rampage for revenge

I watched this last year for the first time after finding it on youtube. If this film was not a b-movie it would be really bad but as a b-movie it is brilliant in so many ways. It has over the top acting, crazy characters, a plot that at times makes no sense and dialogue that's so poor so what is there not to like about this. Great call for HDTGM think it has a lot of the hallmarks of the types of films they enjoy doing, plus there is a load of Nudity that will keep Jason happy.

Wait are they finally doing this utter gem of a movie!?!! Can't wait to hear what they make of it, I am not ashamed to say I love this film as its utterly crazy
