    EPISODE 36 - A Dinner Theater

I couldn't agree more! I appreciate how of the 36 episodes that have been released, plus the 4 live episodes that have been recorded and not yet released, there has only been one all-male episode, and many with multiple women. This is almost unheard of in the realm of comedy podcasts that aren't hosted by women. Just one of many examples of Paul's caring about inclusiveness and showing strong ally behaviour. This should be the norm instead of being remarkable, just as you shouldn't have to apologize for saying something so uncontroversial as women are funny.
  2. I was totally thinking Eban should play When I'm Sixty-Four when Paul was talking about aging to 200, and then he did! Either I'm psychic, or this show is getting in my head. I had always thought, because I'd been told by people I thought I could trust, that jury duty selection had nothing to do with voting and it was only a myth that they were connected, but when I looked it up today so I could be "that guy" who needs to correct everything, it turns out they do draw from voter lists, but also other places like driver's licenses and tax returns. So not voting doesn't guarantee no jury duty, but voting can put you on the list if you're not already. You've proved me wrong again, show! I was as happy to hear PFT as Santa as an actual child encountering Santa! Happy tires cracked me up too! Anyone else reminded of this sketch?
  3. Warning to all future special guests: If you do not include definite or indefinite articles in your location, (and write legibly, spoiler alert) your failure to do so will be immortalized in the improv forever.

EPISODE 384 — Numbers Cannot Lie

I unironically, unjokingly loved the performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, and I'm not even American!
  5. Craig's callback that acknowledged the listener may be my favourite ending to an improv on this show! I took my hands off the steering wheel and said "Whaaaat?" and thankfully, didn't crash and die!

    EPISODE 31 - Wine Tasting

Maybe it's not that big of a coincidence and people are just talking about Hitler most weeks, often in the context of time travel and babies.

    EPISODE 31 - Wine Tasting

I think I realized during this episode that Janet is the best callbacker! When she's not around, the interview is more often neglected. Paul being southern or a woman is always a treat, but a southern woman? Double treat! I am as amused by when an improviser loses track of characters/names/relationships, as I am impressed that it doesn't happen more often, considering how hard I have to work to keep track of everybody. My favourite thing is the baby bunny in the overalls, both the adorable image of that actually happening to Amanda, and the bizarre way it was incorporated into the improv. It's a pleasure discussing this podcast with all you like-minded ghosts!
  8. Sleepy Schimmy Joins may be my new favourite ad character. Sorry, Mitch and Delores! But you've been through worse. One of the funniest improvs yet! Possibly record levels of PFT chuckles, which makes it even greater! "Now, actually, we do not call them puppets, we call them dummies, because...that's what they're called." "That's a rock-solid argument."
  9. What is it about Paul talking about animals that's so great? I think I find animals intrinsically funny, especially when assigned human characteristics, plus PFT can make any subject even funnier on top of that. In this episode, I learned ants are no exception! So much Canadianness! As a Canadian, every stereotype and impression of Canadians makes me say "That's not accurate," except Tim Horton's! That one's true. As soon as they mentioned Timmy's, I just thought, "Yup, they figured us out." Now I'm gonna worry about getting stabbed in one! I am also wondering about the source of that noise, and whether there really was a list of songs. Glad to hear the return of Sarah's rage!

EPISODE 28 - One Hour Photo Shop

Not only were the Takei and Lupone impressions great, but I'm convinced the handsome man who flirted with the underwear lady was Patrick Warburton.

EPISODE 28 - One Hour Photo Shop

What is this object? Why does gravity-defying sideways Eban make me laugh so much? What's with cardboard Scott in the background? Great episode as always! I can't believe there was any debate about whether or not you blow on children. Of course you do. It's hilarious!
  12. I am definitely myself, and not some guy making fun of me, SCOTT!!!

EPISODE 377 — Good Night In The Morning

I loved this bit so much, it's probably the hardest I've ever laughed at a DAP. I was deeply honoured that my question from twitter prompted them to repeat it!
  14. Spoiler alert, he did. Poor Rocky, being bullied by the bully dog. So sad! I'm glad he's not tasty so Scott doesn't have to eat him.

EPISODE 377 — Good Night In The Morning

Listened for the second time today, laughed and cry-laughed just as hard as the first time. PFT and LL are hilarious enough on their own, but speaking in unison? Greatest thing ever. I've been wanting Tatiana to come on the show since I learned she listened, and she and Kristian were both great! For some reason, the line that gets me the most is Cilantome's "Oh no!" when Scarsdale is about to propose to her. I can't even explain why, but I'm crying with laughter yet again just thinking about it!
  16. I like how Scott is asked a simple question and immediately needs to apply "Would You Rather" rules to suss out the situation and the "correct" answer. He even seems worried the floor was not opened for questions! "What's the modern equivalent of that reference?" "It is an OK Go video!"

EPISODE 26 - Garden of Eden

My comment from one day ago is now hopelessly outdated. I apologize to all of you.

EPISODE 26 - Garden of Eden

I loved Eban playing "For he's a jolly good fellow," while discussing Colleen's dog's birthday. He can't play Happy Birthday, because, you know, miserly crones. I instantly recognized the callback to Melanie Lynskey wanting to eat with the teacher because her friends would only talk to her out of school. Great stuff!

    EPISODE 25 - 10th Circle of Hell

What a great episode, and ending to that story! Lublin laugh is up there with PFT laugh and Varney laugh on the list of off-microphone laughs that make podcasts better, and I'm loving his voices/characters. Every time we get to the end of the monologue/pre-ramble, I'm always a little sad, as much as I love the rest of the show, because I could listen to that much longer!
  20. Or is he pretending for comedy? Somebody asked in the Ask Paul thread and that's when he decided he didn't want to discuss the ads anymore. So we'll never know. It's a mystery! I simultaneously like CAH, dislike CAH, love the ads for CAH, like the idea he is really annoyed but able to channel that annoyance into a great ad, and like the idea he is not really annoyed but puts it on so well.

    EPISODE 373 — Vocal Fry

I am not a male cyberbully.
  22. Wow, this might be the best episode yet. Every part of it was so great, best monologue ever, I died laughing so many times! Especially Kumail's dreams, and everybody murdering each other! So fun! When Paul warned us about the sound quality, I was preparing myself for some William Faulkner level stuff, but it was totally fine! I had no trouble hearing anything. Classic performer being overly self-critical. I also want to say how much I am enjoying the question from the previous guest as a format for the interview segment. Because the person asking doesn't know who's answering, we bypass the standard questions that every well-known person gets asked a million times, and develops practiced answers to. These questions, because they have to apply to anyone, really allow the guest's personality and life events to shine through. In the rare case the question doesn't apply, like the cousin one, Paul smoothly transitions from the question to a topic the guest can talk about. This great format idea combines with Paul's impeccable interview/conversation style, in which he brings out the best in his guests, and reacts to things in entertaining ways, and adds his own opinions and anecdotes without monopolizing the conversation. And it doesn't depend on the guest's level of fame or whether I'm familiar with their work, because the fact that they're answering a universal question which is unrelated to their work means I enjoy episodes with guests I've never heard of just as much as those I am a big fan of.
  23. Every cloud has a silver lining. Well, that's terrible news for flying werewolves.
