Episode 10 β All That You Canβt Leave Behind
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
another R.I.P. Harris reference that seemed haunting. -
When Harris repeated the desalinization joke, I blurt laughed . Annie's audible gasps were so great. FANTASTIC ep!

Episode 9 β Slowing It Down
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Scott, wtf are you talking about Bruce is better than Tom. Could a person be more wrong? Also, I LOVE this show now. Some of you may recall that I posted in earlier episodes that I couldn't come to understand how this was funny (oh, it got funny. it got VERY funny) in comparison to Analyze Phish. I get so excited when I hear the not-so-quiet laughter of PFT in the background. -
When Howie asks what fishing in the dark is...lol. Having grown up being force fed the music of Alabama et al, I'm pretty sure it means...fishing...in the dark...?

I saw Brian Lopez open for Heartless Bastards a few years ago. Took me by surprise when I heard his name and researched...same guy! Small world. Great music. He played a cover of "Killing Moon" from his album Ultra when we saw him. Stellar.

Accurate. And mean on her part

Episode 14 - Better Off Dead w/ Diane Franklin
CaseyRafter replied to Shannon's topic in I Was There Too
HOLY CRAP! I'm so excited that Matt mentioned Sinister Creature Con! That happens only a few miles from my own home and I've been to other events Sacramento Horror Film Fest and Co put on throughout the year. If you're in/near or planning on visiting Sacramento, Check out their fb page and web page to see what they have coming up. The film festival and midnight screenings they put on are so much fun. -
LOVED when they started "taking calls" . Fun ep! Le Gourdon just made my day!!

Episode 8 β Pop

"Why were we talking about Alyssa Caliente?" "Because we were wondering what other things Cody would be doing other than listening to us talk about poop." -
recorded 100% sober, obvi. No doobs barmitsvah'd

Just manager.

AND that farting hunter. I'm paranoid enough about poop-particles getting on my toothbrush without throwing it on the gd ground. Not surprising for a guy fingering the pb jar like a blind 17 year old on prom night.
-
No. It makes my skin crawl when they throw in the stupid nicknames. It's so hard for me to see the arm thrusting "I DUDDITS" b.s. as anything but mocking him, the Fuck Me Freddie thing is grating, etc etc. This was so obviously an attempt to garner the same attention a story like It and The Body (Stand By Me) got.
-
YES!!! Hooray!
-
I tried watching this movie twice before last night, when I finally forced it upon myself. I can't wait to find out where June stands on Duddits. Will she be offended or touched? Jason is SURE to flip his lid. If anyone on the panel enjoys this film, I may have a stroke. The only way this film and Donnie Wahlberg gets away (IF) with that character is by veiling it as an alien instead of a person with a mental disability. HOW DARE they end the movie, fading to black AS the story is resolved. Actually, scratch that. Thank you, film makers, for getting it over with as soon as it was resolved. I may not have been able to take much more. ALSO, how the hell to the laws of motion, gravity, or physics apply in a "mental warehouse"? Wouldn't you think that Mr. Gray would just be able to appear anywhere within that warehouse? This movie is so obviously based on a book by Stephen King. The oddball language that the boys and the face below Morgan Freeman's eyebrows is so typical of the zaniness he applies to his characters. This would have been better served if it were reworked as a sequel to IT (the film/movie...Tim Curry as a clown).

Episode 1910 - Andy Daly
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Just starting it. Can't contain my excitement!! I love Andy! I'm rather disappointed that the OBVIOUS opportunity to reference a certain tune about arachnids and snakes wasn't taken advantage of. Re: the sponsor. I went to MGMTWatches.com and all I saw was two guys with long curly hair staring back at me. what did I do wrong? -
Brody is so amazing. I never know when the character is happening and when Brody breaks character (or if that's all a part of the genius) but the whole package is so entertaining. His scopes are great, his guest appearances are great. I need to wrap up some of my podcasts that aren't producing anymore so I can start in on the podcasts he's hosted. For a minute there, I thought he was about to walk out, but he was just getting excited. Kulap is great as Brody's mom. "ok, we're gonna put a pin in that and we'll come back to it". True professional. I should have waited until i finished this episode to post. Holy crap, Brody coaxing the egg out of the goose was PRICELESS!!!!

Episode 1909 - Paul Gilmartin
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
A few lul moments, but Paul always makes NNF feel like home. i love the chemistry these two share. -
Goofy 80s horror film from the people who brought us The Toxic Avenger. They mark all of the (sometimes non-specific) dates and times using only words (example: nine o'cock instead of 9:00). I'm not sure about Netflix but it's currently streaming on Amazon prime
