Off-Topic: I still can't believe it's Chris Sarandon doing Jack Skellington's speaking voice in The Nightmare Before Christmas. When I think of Chris I think of Prince Humperdink and the vocals don't match.

I agree with this. There wasn't enough background as to why she was a "sensation" before the end. Wikipedia says Cole Porter was a frequent attendee of her performances so her surprise at the end of the movie is incorrect.

Hugh Grant, for all his sweetness and "loyalty", was one-note. Every problem could be solved with enough application of money. I also wondered how long he had been dating Rebecca Ferguson. I thought he was married to her at first, not to Florence. (Although the marriage to Florence was probably not legitimate since she could never prove she had been divorced.) Also, why did she keep the name Jenkins even though she basically was separated after she got syphillis?

Side note: I have several favorite movies that are more Unspooled than HDTGM. I would like to do Rabbit showings sometime of them. Is that allowable? I would also be willing to do a Classics showing of Old Dogs. That got added to Prime and I haven't seen it. The podcast episode was hilarious.

Also, has anyone done Rabbit showings via actual streaming services? i assume I paste in this Amazon link and log in to my account in the Rabbit browser?

That's a good question. I was wondering how he afforded the Cadillac at the end of the movie. I just figured all the stress of dealing with the smuggling and dealing with Terrence Howard might have driven him out. Maybe not once things calmed down.

Can I get one of those Kevlar Bibles that stop bullets? That lady could have made a lot of money if she just sold those.

I think Terrence Howard was saying to pay him the 25 grand if Rooster wanted out of the business. I think Rooster thought he was done when he paid back the $1100.

Seriously, I liked this movie. Very glad AlmostAGhost streamed it because the group chat helped me make sense of it. I might have bailed a few times otherwise and taken it in chunks. In the middle it seemed like the musical Chicago with musical numbers strung through by a bare plot but it got more emotional as it went on. Good pick!
