    I remember that as well. I'd heard about it before seeing the movie but actually seeing it on the big screen was mind-blowing. I know I saw a lot of Disney films as a kid and religious films at a church-run drive-in theater but The Muppet Movie may be the first one that really stuck with me.

    I watched this last night and was surprised it was less than 90 minutes. They packed a LOT into 90 minutes. The dog was my big question. They should never have set it up that way to just abandon it later. I think the TV was their way of "modernizing" Groundhog Day's radio. (IMDB trivia says her clock was the same style as the one in Groundhog Day.) I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Amy Smart's character was very unlikable but she played it well. The few flashes the character had came off nicely and she is so cute. (Plus she's an HDTGM favorite from the Crank movies.) Mark-Paul Gosselaar (sp?) did VERY well. Except for the petulance at not letting her explain the old boyfriend I really liked his character. I ordered The Muppet Movie on Blu-Ray and it didn't get delivered as expected yesterday so I hope to watch it tonight. I will jump in the discussion though as I remember plenty from repeated viewings. I got to meet Austin Pendleton (Max) once in New York. If I can find the picture i'll post it.

    Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions in previous weeks about The Room and The Disaster Artist. Paul mentioned local screenings and I found one at midnight next Friday in Philadelphia. I ordered the DVD and book and will wait on both until I see it in Philly.

    Thanks, Paul, for mentioning local screenings of The Room. Found one in Philadelphai next Friday and I'm looking forward to it! Never seen the movie so this will be awesome.

    I'm surprised they don't plug Jason in Big Mouth on Netflix. Wound up watching most of the season on Thanksgiving Day and it was HILARIOUS!

    This is only tangential to the movie so I'll tell the story here. My family and I went to see this when it came out in theaters but, for some reason, went to a theater in another town. It was a larger theater that had been broken up into 2 screens. We were late getting there so the movie had already started. Back then they let you stay for the next show so we did, wanting to see what we had missed. While we waited the movie next door started up and soon we hear lots of screaming. The movie next door? The Amityville Horror! We were hearing the murders of the family that lived in the house that started the whole deal. Quite a moment for a 9-year-old kid!

    Just kidding. Right back at you and Cam Bert. Looking at some reviews it's more like they are summaries than in-depth. I feel better. Thought I was going to have to write detailed, in-depth scene analyses. "Hated it" appears to be sufficient.
