I apologize for the delay but I'm ready to discuss Muppet Christmas Carol if anyone is still willing. Likes: Rizzo the Rat overall - funny character and had heart The rat bookkeepers - Also funny ("ask him! ask him!") Michael Caine overall (except for one part mentioned below) Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim The Ghost of Christmas Present - I liked how he shrank to fit the room. He reminded me of one ghost from Jim Carrey's animated version The Scrooge song Paul WIlliams doing all the songs Dislikes: Michael Caine in the Christmas of the Future scene -- maybe I tuned out but I missed whatever frightened Scrooge into turning his life around Kermit's family dynamics - It seemed like the girls were on Miss Piggy's side and the boys on Kermit's side. No mixing or toning down. I'll leave it there for now. Thoughts?

I was thinking this would be a great stage show if the story was worked on. I could see him doing this kind of performance night after night. I never saw The Boy from Australia but he was supposedly very good in that.

Thanks again, Cameron H., for mentioning HBO Go. I was going to rent Muppet Christmas Carol from Amazon but then saw it was available on the HBO Channel in Amazon Video. Decided to check HBO Go and I can watch it there for free!

I totally agree with Zac Efron. I admit I had HSM flashbacks watching him with Zendaya but he absolutely makes the movie. My biggest issues were that turns are glossed over and the whole thing felt like a stage musical filmed. I watched the cast perform Come Alive during A Christmas Story Live! and didn't care for it but it's now my favorite song after I saw it in the movie.

Thanks for mentioning HBO Go. I was checking Verizon FIOS services the other day and noticed I apparently have HBO even though I don't have a cable box any longer. I logged into the HBO website and sure enough! I do have HBO! Cool!

I just saw it and really enjoyed it. I think the theater helps because of the enlarged images and sound. (Plus Hugh Jackman and the director came on before the movie and thanked us for seeing it in the theater "as it was meant to be seen".) I will probably go see it again soon and I bought the soundtrack on iTunes tonight.

I guess I'm OK in saying I've seen nun of them? Google Play had a "$0.99 first rental" special so I rented through there. Will watch it later this week. Seeing The Greatest Showman for free tomorrow night. (I bought the Rocky Horror Picture Show Blu-Ray for $5.99 last week and it had a coupon for up to $8 off the ticket. Tomorrow night is $6 so it was free.)

I know Bats insisted they go into the diner because of Baby's reaction to the initial choice but how did he know to pick that one in the first place?

That was AMAZING. One thought I had about the car chase was later on Doc tells him what type of vehicle to steal for the Jamie Foxx heist. Does that mean this Subaru was also stolen? If so, it had racing customizations (look at the close-ups of the pedals) and had to be able to hold up to a lot of abuse.

Love that part. Like with Jamie Foxx I didn't get why the characters hated Baby so much right from the get go but each was quite entertaining in their aggravation.

I guess Society Max watched the special features. If both Jon Hamm and the DP Bill Pope called this a musical who are we to disagree?
