Good pick. I only watched it for the first time recently, and I quite enjoyed myself. It's far from being a good John Carpenter movie, but as a piece of cheese it has ripened quite well over the past decade and a half.

Predator 2 is great, and I also think it's a great fit for HDTGM. One of those movies that'll make Jason go "THIS MOVIE IS FUCKING AWESOME." over and over.

It's too slow and too well acted. But I see where you're coming from; it's cheap, sloppy and underwhelming. However it's also Larry Cohen so it's kind of its own beast and can't be judged next to other movies.

Rad is rad. Should totally be done. It's weird that this came out in the same year as Solarbabies and Thrashin (which is great also).

Just caught a correction while listening to this episode: Paul says that Roddy Piper gets replaced by Lou Ferrigno in the sequel; but it was actually Robert Z'Dar. The henchman with the impressive jawline from Tango & Cash. Also I mentioned this before, but in Toad Warrior (the third instalment of the series) they were straight up out of fucks to give so they gave adult movie actress Jill Kelly a leading role. -
I'm at 164 now myself, though probably 1 or 2 repeats in there...

Body Rock needs to be done by HDTGM because it's actually a parasitic alien type horror movie about a no-talent crumbum trying to assimilate the skills of a crew of talented dancers, so he can hitch a free ride from the lizard people to Tinseltown. Also Chilly D just sounds like the aftermath of a cold shower.

I just saw this yesterday and I LOVED it. It's like Predator but Ice-T is the predator and he's a homeless guy who you're rooting for and MAN that supporting cast is like the ultimate character actor wishlist. -

I've seen a bunch of Frogtown, and by extension Donald G. Jackson movies. The second one replaces Roddy Piper with Robert Z'Dar and think there's one that has porn star Jill Kelly in a leading role... (Max Hell Frog Warrior, might be the 3rd one). The first one is probably watchable but don't start exploring this guy's catalogue unless you really wanna jump down a wormhole of peyote-fueled garbage. -
tbh the only memorable thing about this movie was Mario Van Steroids JCVD does not exude any confidence in this, or he was just kept on a short leash so that means no fun for us
