Oh and I think the whole "cow" thing is because her performance is influenced by the nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle" To go off more from what Cameron said...I think she's using it as a metaphor by telling the "renters" & homeless to take a leap of faith ("jump over the moon", like the cow does) and rebel against Benny/ the authority? I'm not sure... trying to make more sense of it, but still think it was obnoxious as well

No I like Rosario Dawson and always have since I first saw Josie & The Pussycats, haha Yeah, he was a dick--lol. I think it was mainly Roger and their relationship that I did not like. Did not really have too much an issue with Mimi or Rosario's portrayal of her. Edited: yeah what Taylor said too^
-
Yeah why couldn't they get her to protest (& MOO) about something else? It's a pretty simple solution to their problem. Again, Benny's not that bad you guys.. He offers them a way to still not have to pay rent. And seems like he'd let them use the cyber studio without charging. He's trying to compromise, but they're being stubborn. it seems like the stage version they all don't come off as bad, and explains some aspects more (fine I'll watch it this week ).... but I'm just saying they all kind of annoyed me in the movie. PS--I'm still glad I watched it, I've been meaning to for a long time.

It's cause Mark is...
-
Oh well then that makes more sense. I can get if he was just letting his friends stay for free, but think the movie made it seem like he was letting everyone stay for free. But who was paying for their electricity, water/utilities? I'm sure they weren't.. I mean Mark couldn't even pay for tea at that Cafe. It seems like they were taking advantage of Benny. Idk guys, I side with Benny / probably am a Benny.
-
Yeah, but was he letting the whole building stay for free as well? Looked like the whole building of tenants were singing that "they weren't gonna PAAAAAY" either
-
Haha yes exactly!! But then I don't get why Benny was letting them stay there for free in the first place??
-
I haven't watched the stage version (yet--I may have to now).. but it watching the movie it did bother me that they looked older than they were supposed to be playing. Cause when Mark was complaining about "selling out" all I could think was "good, get a real job!" Maybe I could have been a little more forgiving too if while watching I thought they were "dumb kids". But watching the movie I felt like most of them needed to grow up.
-
Yea that bothered me too. Two MM in a row with dog killing plz no more.

I'm leaning that way too--- even though there's a lot of dead cats & then the cat-like.. vampires? (not sure what they are) in this movie.... A cat is the hero. And in Cat's Eye, in the final story the cat initially gets a bad wrap but too ends up being the hero. Seconded for more cat gifs :
-
Just realizing Stephen King uses cats a lot in his books/short stories (& movies).. and wondering if he loves cats or hates them? cats are also heavily involved in King's Cats Eye (which is based off a couple short stories from Night Shift--the stories are all separate but connected by a cat) and also Pet Sematary (cat resurrected from the dead).

That cameo in the beginning..

Also, though I am anxiously awaiting the Lake House ep.. I think Sleepwalkers is a good choice! I do love Stephen King. I read a lot of his novels & short stories when I was in middle school/ Jr. High (and watched a lot of the movies). Film adaptations of his works usually lean more towards bad--- but if it's bad it's typically the good/fun "bad"... like I would love to hear the gang cover Thinner at some point.

I didn't get it until you pointed it out... So if you're slow, I'm even slower. I thought he was saying they both were called "Hell Toupee" on the minisode.. and did not realize Amazing Stories was "Hell To Pay"

Musical Mondays Off-Week 7 (Cinco DeNio's Pick)
kateacola replied to Cameron H.'s topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was not sure who I'd be, since I'm not sure I connected with most of the characters.. But I took a Buzzfeed quiz and: Which is fitting, because Cameron forgot my presence... RIP- 143 replies

Musical Mondays Off-Week 7 (Cinco DeNio's Pick)

I put it on when I got home last night, was surprised at how many songs I recognized/ knew I have heard before. But I'm not really sure how, because I've never watched this and I don't think I've listened to the soundtrack? maybe I June'd it, and it left me immediately after watching or it's a repressed memory?? I still did not finish watching..haha. But it was just something I put on-- and was listening to as I was attempting to fall asleep, so I wasn't really trying to watch it. I'll watch it for REAL soon. But wanted to comment on how crazy familiar the songs were even though I swear I haven't seen it before.- 143 replies

I understand it was good-natured. The poking fun at makes me feel included: And I only mentioned how few I've seen because while watching 7, it felt like maybe I was missing some plot points or something. So I said that to possibly help explain why I did not like it. I feel the same way you do about Marvel movies/shows. There's been only a few I am totally down for, otherwise mostly feel "meh" about. Ant Man and GOTG are also the most recent ones I really enjoyed. Edited: Also agree with y'all about DC. Like don't get me started on Suicide Squad. I HATED it.. And BvS I did not even bother with.

I think the cut that's showing is my bf's fav at least..from what he said. I have no clue which it is. Related story : my boyfriend actually got to meet Harrieon Ford couple nights ago (I think Sat night), he was here in Phoenix for Celebrity fight night and stayed in the hotel my bf works at. Ford called the front desk for some aspirin and he got to run it up to him.. Lol. So yea he was excited he got to meet him because he loves BR And I stand by my 1 star rating, sorry Dom

It's been awhile since Ive seen Tokyo and 2 Fast... So I may be wrong. I just thought I may have liked more than 2 Fast. Most of the time (not always) when there's long car chases or super long action or fight sequences I kind of zone out. Again, not always the case but its not usually something I get psyched about. But I'm sure I wasnt the target audience for the FF movies. But I agree with you about Adam Scott. I love Adam and those eps are some of my fav HDTGM eps ..and main reason why I went ahead and watched in first place.

LOL, damn...putting me on blast. & sorry I didn't see/respond to earlier. Work has been brutal this week I have issues sleeping lately, so when I woke up in the middle of the night last night I watched it since it's on cinemax app or Starz..one of those? Figured I could put on to pass the time until I was tired again. I don't really know how to defend myself- I'm not a huge fan of FF movies. I haven't watched all of FF movies, I think the original, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Tokyo Drift & this one. I watched the first one again not too long ago, but the others it's been awhile. But I think out of ones I've seen I liked the original the most, then maybe Tokyo Drift. I don't really know what to say besides I'm not super into action/car/extreme sports movies... (don't call me out for my low rating of xXx too... )

I'm still not sure where the whole "mom" thing is coming from? (Besides the podcast) I know someone mentioned it said that in the plot summary on wikipedia, but I'm not seeing it? Also if it was the whole point--wouldn't they be sure to include in the movie?... I'm not buying it either.
