The whole time I was watching I felt like he was a bobo Peter from Degrassi...hahaha Or kinda Evan Peters-y. Somewhere in between.. -

Same. I was mostly following people's leads with Kinga (cause I knew who they were referencing, I didn't remember a name). And Golden/Silver I get confused. I just know it's the opposite of what I thought / want it to be. Cause I feel like the blonde mermaid should've been called Golden.. -

Oh yeah, nevermind----THAT was the most random and WTF scene. You're right. -

I also wondered if introducing Triton was really that necessary? I know he was inserted to explain the mermaid mythology--since Golden told Silver that Triton told her Silver would lose her voice after the surgery. But it seemed like Golden already knew the "mermaid rules" since in the beginning she asked Silver "What if you fall in love?" "would you eat him?" So his character felt a little unnecessary to me. Like they seemed to already know what could / was going to go down. The policewoman and nurse were the most random though, at least Triton stuck around longer. -

I was also confused when the main singer (mom?) and drummer (dad?) were having sex and she got a whiff of his fingers... and she asked why his fingers smelt fishy? Was he sexually assaulting Silver and/or Golden? or messing around with one or both of them? I also figured they wouldn't put up with that and probably eat him. Especially Golden. IDK what was going on. -

I agree with everything--except I do think he was attracted to her but he couldn't get over the fish/animal/ having a tail "thing". -

Tbh, I wasn't too familiar with the fairy tale version of The Little Mermaid... But after watching I read up on, and do like that this followed a lot of the points of the fairy tale. The whole seaform thing made more sense. But in the fairy tale version she was rewarded for not killing the prince after he married someone else... that didn't happen here. Silver should've known her sister would kill him for revenge..but honestly Silver should have killed him herself anyway for being such a dick and quickly moving on to someone else. -

His facial expression when he got up (with the blood on his stomach) I was thinking the camera was going to pan back to Silver and reveal something crazy! Since he looked so shocked/concerned...but it didn't. The movie never did what I thought it was going to do. -

Yea that too...I thought he moved on fast. Was he done with Silver because she bled on him when they were trying to bang? She just had tail / leg surgery dude! She did that for him. -

Exactly. The bassist guy was kind of a dick, right? He told her he only sees her as an animal/fish..and then later helps to dispose of her body and maybe even helped try to murder her? (They only showed she got punched in the face right? Did they think she was dead after that?? Or did they do something else to think they were dead?) Why go through all of that for him? He's not that into you girl.. -

I agree with everyone. I don't totally get what the relationships were, like sometimes I thought they were a family and sometimes I didn't. And then in the very beginning was that the band Silver and Golden were about to (probably) eat, but Kinga screamed and stopped them? And then they joined the band?? Or was that a different band they were about to eat? I wasn't sure how they got into the band or why. I don't know who the blonde lady was. Or what the point of that scene was? There seemed to be a few characters that would pop up for a scene but had no purpose really-- The blonde lady. The cop. and Triton weren't really necessary, imo. Also, I want to know more about the leg / tail surgery. Was it a dead person that she got the legs from? Or was it a live girl who wanted a mermaid tail? I'm assuming it was a live person since it looks like they sewed up the tail to the body? Like if it was a dead person who was an organ/leg donor they probably wouldn't attach the tail to her, right? If it was a live person...she's wouldn't be a real mermaid because the tail was attached, right? Won't she always be in tail form? Since she isn't a true mermaid, she wouldn't be able to breath underwater.. so why would she elect to switch bottoms? I want to know what happened to her. But I'm probably dumb and it was a dead person that she got the legs from. -
Yes! After watching The Lure today, I was thinking it''d be a really good one to cover for the podcast. Cause I would love someone to help me understand wtf was going on. haha. I don't know how to describe it, but I for sure was not bored watching it at all. Excuse me.. what do you have against the cartoon Elliot?

How did you know I can't help but laugh at farts? ...you really get me. I was laughing a lot listening to this ep (PFT's too). But it was the Wetzel's Pretzels song that tickled me the most, I think. lol -

That's one thing I wanted to point out. The water the janitor was "cleaning" the floor with was disgusting. Like why even mop the floor with that? If he's lazy or doesn't care about his job--fine.. but in this case it'd be better to not mop at all. That disgusting water is probably going to make the floor look dirtier and look like he didn't mop. If he's going to be lazy with his job, be a smart-lazy at least--so it's less obvious you're slacking off. guys, this really bothered me..
