The best part of that exit survey is the information that Thomas Jane bought that pipe at a flea market the day before and insisted it be a part of his character in the movie.
-
So which one of these two is Thomas Jane supposed to be?

Because we did not see The Rumble actually get killed at the end of this film, I believe it is because they have plans for a sequel. The film will be called Money Crane and it will involve Grouch blackmailing a new crew of criminals to steal a rare, expensive bottle of Chavignon Blanc that he and his brother Niles can enjoy at their next wine tasting event.

Itâs only like 82 minutes, so itâs a quick watch. Itâs not awful, but itâs disappointing that it doesnât do more with its absurd premise. -
Rotten Tomatoes Ranks Their 100 Worst Movies of all Time
DrGuts1003 replied to CNU2007's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Looks like Paul and Amy have their new podcast now that Unspooled has gone through the AFI 100. -
In one of Chuckyâs many calls to Dennyâs answering machine, he tries to entice her by saying âI've got great tickets tonight for the command performance for Lady Di and Prince Charles at Carnegie Hall. It features Sylvester Stallone doing Dickens, Baryshnikov dancing and the twin piano magic, of Ferrante and Teicherâ. This begs the question, what role do you think Stallone was playing? Scrooge? Oliver Twist? David Copperfield thinking heâd be performing magic? I donât care how creepy Chucky is, if youâre Denny you canât pass up going to a show like that, right?

Are you now confusing this movie with Boyfriend School? And I would say the homelessness can definitely be attributed to him. Thereâs nothing about becoming a demon when youâre horny that should prevent you from being able to get a good job and being able to afford a place to live.

I found it interesting that Kaz did not react the same around Denny as he did most other women. With most women, he seemed to immediately want to turn into the demon, whether it was with the woman on the subway or Denny's friend, Sonia. But with Denny, he spends a lot of time with her without any issue. It is not until they heavily start making out that the demon shows any sign of appearing. At first I thought this might be just another example of the film's inconsistencies. Or worse, that they were implying that Denny was not as attractive as those other women. But I think the film was trying to make a distinction between love and lust. He does not respond the same way around Denny because she is his "true love". This idea is reinforced by the fact that the sword Sonia grabs from her occult store is labeled as 'the sword of Asmodeus'. Asmodeus is known as the demon of lust. In 1589, a German bishop named Peter Binsfeld published an influential list of demons and paired each demon with one of the seven deadly sins: Lucifer (pride), Mammon (greed), Leviathan (envy), Beelzebub (gluttony), Satan (wrath), Belphegor (sloth) and Asmodeus (lust). It is said that Asmodeus' dominion is lechery - he causes performance issues when men are with their wives and induces their attraction to other women. Furthermore, one text described Asmodeus as a demon who perpetually spawns new demons to bring chaos to the world, inciting lechery and excess wherever they roam. Given that we know both Kaz and Chucky have been cursed by the same person, is it possible that the Romanian grandmother and her granddaughter are agents of Asmodeus who have concocted this honeypot trap to lure young boys in so that they can be made into these demons?

I was curious how everyone got home after the battle at the castle considering Kaz blew up everyoneâs car with that dynamite. Did he have absolutely terrible aim? Or does Kaz secretly hate cops?

I would highly recommend people check out Pluto TV. It is a free streaming service that has a bunch of channels running 24/7. Some channels are devoted strictly to one show. Like there is a Baywatch channel that shows nothing but episodes of Baywatch and an American Gladiators channel. But then some channels are devoted to certain existing cable channels. Like one channel only shows MTV dating shows. There are multiple Comedy Central channels on the service and I have seen Kroll Show, Detroiters, and @Midnight shown on there. The app is associated with Paramount/Viacom, which is why cable channels like MTV and Comedy Central are associated with it. They are constantly adding new channels too. I heard shows like Survivor and The Amazing Race are getting added next week. I am a huge game show fan and they have both Buzzr and Game Show Network on there. I have pretty much only been watching Pluto TV this summer. They also have an On Demand section if you are looking for something specific. -
Episode 243 - The Peanut Butter Solution
DrGuts1003 replied to Wil Dride's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I found it rather lazy that they have Connie pull Michael aside and just tell him that the tall kid on the opposing soccer team is âreally mean and dangerousâ. There was nothing in that kidâs performance before then or up until he trips him that he is mean. And letâs face it, people are constantly tripping each other in soccer. The bully also doesnât go for the wig until Michael takes a swing at him. Maybe that is an example of âmean and dangerousâ in Canada but he didnât seem like much of a bully to me. -

Can we talk about how crazy Connie and Suzâs plan is to find Michael and the rest of the kidnapped children? They have Connie sneak into the back of the Signorâs truck and use a bag of sugar and a funnel, so that he can leave a trail for Suz to follow. Why allow Connie to be captured like that? Wouldnât it be easier to just have both of them tail the Signorâs truck on their bikes? Or get Suzâs dad to tail him in his car? Furthermore, the sugar plan was deeply flawed. As we saw, the trail could easily be eliminated with something like a street sweeper. Plus he only had a 4 lb. bag. Itâs unlikely that he has enough sugar to last the whole distance. I was stunned when Suz rediscovered the sugar trail and said she finally found it after days (plural!) of searching. Youâre telling me that no wind, rain, or traffic disturbed that sugar line in all that time? Lastly, when Connie and Suz put this plan into action, the Signor leaves the art shop and asks Suz if she would like to go for a ride. She says no, sheâd rather ride her bike. So The Signor just leaves her be. Why was he so polite to her and accepting of her refusal to come along? Or was he polite to every child and he just succeeded in getting that many kids to willingly come along with him? -

In the scene where Michael is anger drumming, there is a poster for the first âTales for allâ movie, La Guerre des Tuques (aka The Dog Who Stopped the War) on the wall behind him. -

This seems like another candidate for HDTGM. Gerard Butler vs. a comet.

I donât know whatâs harder to believe, that he never realized before that she used him as her inspiration for a character in her book or that she thought he is a good choice to base a romance novel character after.

So early on Lizzie tells her brother that he needs to wear teal bikini briefs in order to make himself more appealing women. Later in the movie, after Gus has sex with Emily we see him the next morning wearing teal underwear, but instead of bikini briefs, they are blousy boxer shorts, practically tennis shorts. Was this a result of the movie trying to avoid an R-rating? Or was this a case of Gus trying to make a compromise to his sisterâs creepy suggestion?
-
Did anyone find the cartoons that were shown in the opening credits disturbing? Presumably these are the cartoons that Gus is publishing weekly but they are rather grim drawings. In one the doctor and nurse are pointing and laughing at Gus while he is nude. He tries to hang himself in his hospital room. The nurse gives him a vial of something that eats through metal. When he leaves the hospital, there is barbed wire around the place. And as he leaves the nurse tries to kiss his. Either this is one messed up hospital or Gus has a very warped sense of humor. This on top of the stalking he does put up some major red flags that Gertz should recognize if she were any kind of journalist, which the movie shows she isnât.

Maybe if weâre vocal enough, theyâll eventually post the Swordfish episode. It worked for the Snyder cut. #ReleasetheSwordfishepisode

Episode 241: Ninja III: The Domination
DrGuts1003 replied to AlmostAGhost's topic in How Did This Get Made?
One crazy item in Chrisâ apartment not discussed in the episode was the working pay phone she has on the wall. Itâs even odder because there are at least two other normal phones seen in her apartment. How many does she need? The scene where she uses the pay phone is also odd. The phone rings and instead of saying âhelloâ, she immediately says âBilly where are you?â. Do her ninja skills include caller ID? Also itâs weird that sheâs wondering where he is. He had canceled their date earlier because he told her he had to work late. Why was she still expecting him at her apartment? Are they already living together? -

DrGuts1003 replied to AlmostAGhost's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Paul talked about Eyepatchâs eyepatch and how its weird nature called attention to itself. The eyepatch he wore was actually made from a tsuba. The tsuba is the guard on the sword that separates the handle from the blade to protect the person holding the sword from touching the actual blade. I guess it was also convenient to wear it as an eyepatch as it allowed him to conceal all those different tiny weapons he used to kill those cops after he was arrested. -

Billy was super creepy from moment one with his interactions with Chris. When he first meets her, he makes several pleas for her to go out with him, asking if she likes coffee, daiquiris, pizza, etc. Then he says âhow about candy?â and he goes to his pocket and then you hear a plinking sound on the floor. Does Billy just keep loose candy in his pockets? And who would ever take him up on that offer? -
Episode 241: Ninja III: The Domination
DrGuts1003 replied to AlmostAGhost's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Paul, June, and Jason incorrectly thought that when Chris drove away in the work van and abandoned her co-worker that she simply went home. When Billy was talking to her, he says that he has to drop his partner off. This is the cop who plays pool by himself at his home. (Clearly he can afford the pool table because he doesnât own a car and needs other people to drive him to and from work). Chris recognizes the partner, who is sitting in the passenger seat. She leaves in the van to tail Billy and see where the partner lives. Then later that night she comes back and kills that cop while heâs playing pool.
