Hey Gang, Just dropping a line in wondering if the Best of Earwolf panel was taped and available to listen to? The same with the Comedy Bang Bang SDCC show. I know that one is usually in the CBB Special Edition area on the Howl/Stitcher site, but nothing has shown up. Is there an ETA on these two programs? -R

Tom Green seems like an all around cool guy; funny in his day and was then given the green light from 20th Century Fox to give them a comedy hit. The result... Freddy Got Fingered. Rogert Ebert said it best about Freddy Got Fingered: "This movie doesn't scrape the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't below the bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels...The day may come when Freddy Got Fingered is seen as a milestone of neo-surrealism. The day may never come when it is seen as funny." Green has dreams of his own TV Show and heads to Hollywood. Hilarity(?) ensues for 90 minutes. It's considered one of the worse in the 2000s. Seems like a good bad film to get reviewed on How Did This Get Made. If Tom Green can be the special guest, it might be the greatest podcast ever.

With the whole gluttony of films based on comic book characters, we've had some good (The Dark Knight), some decent (Captain America) and then downright shitty, like Green Lantern which was reviewed here. But I think How Did This Get Made should go back in the annals of early comic book films and dust off the 1996 Classic (?) BARB WIRE, starring Pamela Anderson Lee. Witness an acting tour de force by Lee as this re-imagining of Casablanca drones out for about a 100 minutes. Just don't call her babe!

I'd also throw in the Paul Riser/Brendon Small episode as well. Tiny,Victor and Willy's Apple song makes me smile and laugh
-
Bravo. Well done!
-
Oh god, I had to dry my eyes from crying listening to the Apple Tree song... God I love Victor & Tiny so much. What was brilliant is that Scott hated Willy was on the track over the constant apple crunching. Now, I'm curious... did they use a Macintosh, Golden Delicious, Fuji, or some other apple for the delicious backing track?.

After listening to this twice in a row here at work, I had to pause and make sure I heard Paul right when he read his reviews on Bloodsport by David Worth. I had to check if my hunch was right and yes it was the same David Worth I was thinking of. Fans of MST3K should know the name David Worth as he was the director and DP of the 1983 schlocktacular classic Warrior of the Lost World starring Robert Ginty, Donald Pleasence and Fred Williamson. Thanks to the Rialto Report, podcast, did you also know that David Worth was a director and cinematographer in adult films? Yes, Mr. Worth was using the pseudonym Sven Conrad in the 70s and early 80s shooting such adult classics like Pink Champagne, Frat House and Doing It! From adult films to Bloodsport, I guess Mr. Worth must've liked shooting nut shots.

With the debut of the womptastic premiere of Womp It Up!, we're all gonna be listening to the series for the long haul. Marissa's senior project is gonna need guests. Who would you like to see join Wompler and Listler? Some my choices: Paul F Tompkins (as Mike the Janitor) Lauren Lapkus (as Tracy Reardon doing a crossover with her podcast to make it the greatest ever) Mary Holland (as Trabitha Tarteen. More teenage angst is always good) Melissa Rauch (as Danielle Bartlomo... gotta have the foil) John Gabrus (as Gino Lombardo in a Battle of the Interns episode, with the Chocktaw) I'd love to see your selections! Womp It Up 2015! -R

DubipR replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
First off.......AMAZETASTIC EPISODE! Having Dan Deacon there and giving I4H a boost up and beyond to make this the episode of the year..... I'm on my second listen to it right now. I'm at work right now and my body is all tingly from the music. It's so freaking good! And then Besser brings a murderer's row of amazing improvers. I need to try this like a 420 episode when I get home. -
I want a Pin'em-ata!

DubipR replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
Greatest podcast ever! This Monday on Earwolf is the greatest day ever.... I4H 420 Special, CBB, Spontinanation, and most importantly, the greatest podcast ever made! There's nothing finer than hearing Wompler and Listler coming through my earholes on this great day. I was laughing so hard at work, but really lost my shit when segment "Gutterballn' with Gutterballs" came on. With all the hell going on at my work (computer programs not loading, etc),WOMP IT UP! made my day. -
EPISODE 22 β Joe Wengert: The California Supreme WinShow
DubipR replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I have to call my medical insurance because I've been laughing so hard at work, that I honestly think I cracked a rib. My sides are hurting from laughing so much. Right from the beginning, Joe nails it from the accent. I love the off mike laughing and the on mike laughing from Laura and Joe. The banter was beyond brilliant... -
EPISODE 1 - A Denny's Parking Lot
DubipR replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Second time hearing this and I'm still laughing out loud. My office workers are looking at me with disgust as I should be working on accounting stuff. Since we're all replying on the Spontaneanation board, we should be called.... *timpanies* SPONTIFCATORS! *horns* Ta-da! Brilliant episode. -
I was laughing my ass off with this episode. Hearing Engineer Brett laugh in the background while John was screaming as Haitian Joe in the bath was the topper. NOT A PODCAST! NOT A PODCAST!

To quote Pam Poovey from Archer about today's show.... SPLOOSH! Holy fuck!! I couldn't stop laughing. At work, I had to stop the broadcast, go out to the emergency exit and laugh so hard. My face was beet red. -

Christ, The "Monster Truck" sketch had me laughing in stitches. Anytime we have Lauren Lapkus on I4H, it makes me happy. -
Oh my hell. That Walgreens story was beyond epic.... I had to stop my player, stand up and walk away from my desk, I was laughing so hard.... might have to ask for Workman's Comp as I hurt my side.
