Dear Dirk, Hi, I am Brian. I am not some false account made by the earwolf powers that be to keep original, unique minds like yourself down. I am also not Shahruz, I have never made an app, I have only ever made a website with some solid frames and tables back in the 90s (it was probably a dragonball z fansite). I am a real person, I have real opinions, I have real feelings. Here are some of them. First and foremost, you have some kind of delusion that you represent the listeners of Earwolf, that you are the voice of the people as it may be. You are not. We all have strong, unique opinions that we have developed over time and do not need some one without tact and decency to blow the conch shell and lead us into a better world. So for now on, if and when you state your opinions, do not act like anyone agrees with or stands by you. Secondly, you have always been the one to make personal attacks. You have said ill of Scott and Jeff alike. You made that twitter account, apparently one of many you have (?), public, so you created the opportunity to be roasted in such a way that would call out your absurd look. He did not make fun of any of your genetic defects, your personal flaws, or your financial status, just the look you chose to point a camera at. Which is pretty funny. Now, you mention that Jeff should just just ignore this, and let other people handle trolls like you. One of the reasons we respect guys like Scott and himself, is because they get involved. If we have a question, it will be answered. Jeff wants the fanbase of his shows to be happy. When someone is unjustly rude to everyone in the forum whose opinion does not match their own, they need to be shut down, and Scott and Jeff choose to be a part of that process. These forums are not like brooklyn vegan, where you can remain faceless and just say ignorant things, and not really be called out on it. I know you are thinking, "None of this stuff describes me, I'm not rude or ignorant... I'm awesome. I work for the government census, and tell people I do LSD, and my forum posts are typed in front of a live studio audience." I will leave you this, don't say that you have played the white knight throughout all of this, and have never made personal attacks throughout this, as you voice your common sense opinion of the people about the earwolf challenge. The first time anyone was introduced to the crazy that is Dirk was when you were saying the only person who likes totally laime was some virgin (I don't remember the name of that user, and don't really want to bring him into this anyway, but in your delusional world you will say that I am that very virgin, as well as Jeff ulrich, as well as Richard Nixon, as well as etc etc). You have no right. So if a vote ever comes up to decide whether to just kick you out and get rid of the bad karma that is Dirk, then my vote has been duly cast.

oh no, frank... thanks for being awesome, and doing some amazing work for us nerdy (grateful or un) fans. thank you to matt and jeff as well, this was an enlightening episode. my only comment belongs to the question of a non comedy season 2. i dont think its apples and oranges if you decide on a general theme, like comedy was. i guess you can take one of the general categories from itunes, so tech or hobbies or music, its still a centered idea. i think its a cool idea, jeff, because i think it could open the doors to a new stable of guests, whether its underground musicians or the comic book artists. some of my favorite episodes of the other shows were when ted leo was on cbb or when warren from the vandals was on who charted, its a fresh voice from what we are used to. in the end, as well, i think it is a positive product to bring in new ears and help grow the earwolf family of listeners. a lot of us are excited for earwolf no matter where it goes, and just happy to be a part of it from the begninning. blah blah, its early, sorry

i think with the right kind of hot sauce, predetermination tastes alright. my donut would be two hershey kisses and pieces of a twix bar, it would be called "a kiss betwixt breakfast". zan knows what i'm talking about -

Episode 10.3 — The Final Challenge: Day 3

I bought a little new years eve confetti popper thing for this, and in retrospect, I realize it is kind of a sad image. It's a sad day for me, not because my choice did not win, but because the earwolf challenge is complete. I was not vested in either of these shows, my pick already fell out, so I went into this episode excited for either win. They are both funny shows, and I think either would fit in well. I think the judgement was great, Jeff and Scott knew what they wanted, and they explained it well. It was a great listen, and I was excited for a two hour episode... because what else do I have to do. So, I am behind the decision 100 percent, and I am looking forward to hearing the wolf dead after prince songs. - I want to say, in regard to the Earwolf Challenge, and I think this has been mirrored before on the forums. There is no podcast that has made me listen right as it downloads into my itunes. I save most shows for when I am at work, because it is ten hours of standing in one place, and then is when i can best focus on my favorite shows. With EWC though, the moment I would get home at 3 in morning, 3 days a week, I would jump right in, especially on judgement days. You really get wrapped up in the whole thing, whether your horse is still in the race or not. I want to thank Frank, Peter and Matt for building up the fun, tension and drama. They did a great job mapping out new territory, and really succeeded. I think if any of them read these forums, their spirits might be dragged through the dirt every now and then, but I wholeheartedly think they really did the work and it shows. So to anyone who trashes this show, Totally Laime or any of the other shows who competed, please start linking to your podcasts so they can be held up to the same microscope, maybe they will be candidates for the second season of the Earwold Challenge - Also, Matt, you killed me with the long distance relationship line. I had to grab another confetti popper -

Here are mine Honorable mention; Michael Cera saying "Love that tune." in ep. 31. It gets me every time. 5. Sarah, Harris, Ben and Scott start Japan Dogs; Ep. 52 4. Jesse Ventura singing Kiss From a Rose; Live in Chicago 3. Alan Rickman turning Adam Scott into a worthy uhhh...; Ep. 98 2. Anything Paul F. Tompkins does, hes a genius. I will say episode 33, though, so I don't have to choose a character. and drumroll 1. Harris Wittels "This is an analogy?" to Brett Gelmans Fan Truck; Ep. 111 (This is the one that not only made me spit take, but subsequently made me drop my ipod into my test stand, destroying it. Good stuff)

@Dirk "I can argue with the best and would welcome a point for point debate" - (I can quote too) I have a feeling you think argument and debate means ignoring thought provoking conversation, draining the people who disagree with you, and being the only person left on the internet. If that is what argument and debate are, then you are good sir.

Dave, I totally agree with that entire post. Most of all though, comedy is subjective. I really hope this doesn't turn you away from Earwolf and its fans, the people who have shown themselves to be particularly shitty are very few compared to the real earwolf fanbase, and hopefully more of those voices will speak up. The internet can suck sometimes

damn, that first photo really feels like a kindhearted heroic athlete giving back to his fans, because where would he be without them

So the bias, essentially, is that the comedians guest judging on the show already have a confident view on what comedy is, and have a solid opinion of what they think is funny. Are you one of the guys who gets bent out of shape when death metal isn't represented on American Idol? EWC season 2, only infants can be judges, for the next 17 years we cram 10 podcasts into their brains. When they turn eighteen, we drop them off at a presidential polling office, whoever is elected president will represent which podcast wins the challenge. Shahruz, can you set up a baby donation button on the donation page?

oh dirk, i wrote that forum comment, of course i can't read. also most conspiracists don't use the word conspiracy, they are usually too busy saying the government replaced their frontal lobe with starkist tuna, for them to say "hey, listen to my new conspiracy" would be to say "hey, my thoughts are not valid". so you are right, you did not say your thoughts are not valid, i just came to that conclusion
