Jeff, Scott and Matt have all said in so many words that they both don't mind and enjoy things getting heated in here, and I kind of enjoy reading it as well. On the other hand, though, using words like betrayed seems almost absurd. No one promised you anything, this is all completely free content. You have a right to enjoy what you want, you have a right to think and say what you feel, but no one owes you anything. I don't mean to sound like a real Dirk here, but the moment you think you deserve any of this, is the moment you have been given too much. Appreciate things a little more or go back to ABC and FOX and see how you fare

Episode 8.3 — Using a Famous Guest: Day 3

Doug really killed it. I think this was easily the most constructive episode of the series, Doug actually offered options, had strong, valid opinions and really talked to the podcasters. It even seems like he went a few yards further than anyone else so far in figuring out what each show was. I think this has been the cleanest three episodes yet, on Monday Matt talked to the fans, answered questions, and I think he put a lot of problems to rest. Even if he didn't, he put a face to the show more than the forums could. I only had one problem on Tuesday, I felt like it was not explained to the judges that there was a ten minute time limit, and Left Handed was being judged unfairly, but that was addressed today, so... awesome. I have been an earwolf fan for a long time, as I am sure many of the forum folks also have, and I think it is the nature of the beast of comedy nerdom to get really heated over particular things that feel off, but i wholeheartedly believe this show proved its value this week, and that when the kinks can be ironed out it can be an amazing thing. I'm sad to see Bob and Dan go, they have quickly become a show that I love to listen to, but I can honestly say I will be stoked for any show that takes. Thanks Earwolf, the wolf may be dead, but this whole thing is barely getting started -

i think that a major problem with some of the argument on these boards is saying "this is funny and this is not", because in the end it is all subjective. it is like saying "i listen to the descendants, have been listening to punk rock my whole life, and do not think kelly clarkson is good, and therefore should not have won american idol." we do not all think alike, we do not all laugh at the same things. i personally, for the last few days since i first posted here, have tried to listen to both bob and dan cast and totally laime. for me personally, b and d won me over because its nerdy voice spoke to me (already jammed through 13 episodes, i work in a stationary position at a warehouse 12 hours a day), whereas totally laime was more hit and miss. i enjoyed the pft episode, which someone else had mentioned on either here or 5.2 as being what sold them, but i have to say there has not been anything that pft hasnt sold in my opinion. outside of earwolf, maron and dlm, paul f. tompkins has been the reason i investigated other shows. some have stayed in my rotation, others were not up to par without pft... i forgot my point... oh yeah... a)comedy is subjective b)paul f. tompkins is god (not subjective) c)don't be a jerk.. we're all just one mind man (now analyze phat)

brett, the itt tech turn on ep 9 may be the funniest bit of comedy i have ever experienced. kudos

that html was like a phish song, uncalled for
-
damn howard, you beat me to it. i have been writing a sklar brothers body switch comedy called sklarting over

as a clean slate who has not investigated into either totally laime or bob and dan cast yet, i feel like the criticism for bob and dan seems to be the through-line for totally laimes entire show, which every other week has been heralded as charming, but this week, was considered tired and weak. i didn't love the comedy this week from bob and dan, but the totally or laime game didn't really have any comedy last week, except that it was spastic. i don't know, the playing field just never feels level. because in regards to using the guest, dan telfer seemed engaged, which was what they needed to accomplish, i feel. that is my two cents this week... it's worth nothing

There is a lot that can be said about this episode, and I thought it was great... but, there is something that i need to say, not about this episode, but about comedy bang bang in general. I feel like I have been patient and plenty courteous, out of an attempt to not be like the rest of the internet. On other boards you see people attacking eachother, using racism and vulgarities as a blunt edged tool to get their points across, and I don't understand it. So I tried my best to be understanding... but seriosuly, when the fuck are you going to play welcome to jamrock, I've been waiting for nearly two year (on the serious though, this episode was awesome)
