I take it back - this episode is great. I must have been cranky and/or having a bad day the first time I listened.
-
I'm confused - is Scott related to someone in the Bangles?
-
"How does Paul Scheer keep coming up with so many different voices?! " Um, yeah. Why does he keep appearing on the show as a character? They all sound exactly the same.
-
Oh, I haven't even started to listen to this, and already I know I'm in for a delightful treat.
-
Also, Pulp dominates both Oasis and Blur in the Britpop genre.
-
"Scott, you list Oasis as one of your Top 10 favorite bands. I'm one of the very few Americans who prefers (or who even knows) Blur in the age-old battle of Britpop. What are your thoughts on them?" @ Patrick Westgate: You think you're one of the very few Americans who know about Blur? Where do you live?

Who do YOU want to be a guest on WHO CHARTED??

Christ, this show is so under-appreciated. I know you're all on the same team, and I understand how hard all of the artist work, but this show is leagues funnier than other certain Earwolf shows which garner way more attention. Anyway, Drew, keep up the great work, and I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.

"I love how people who don't like this episode are so eager to learnedly discourse on why it "didn't work." I guess all those comments about how hilarious it was are just from folks who don't have the solid academic grounding in comedy theory that those enlightened scholars have. Or maybe it's just the Internet and "I didn't care for it" immediately translates to "It objectively sucked! Grr I'm so mad!" Get over yourselves. Anyway. Why do I bother reading through the comments? This episode is an instant classic for me, definitely making my Top 5. I listened to the first half at 4 am and was genuinely afraid I'd wake up my roommates with my incessant chortling. Chelsea's character work was divisive but I found it hilarious. And I love Harris's Foam Corner...the stunned, incredulous, almost horrified silences following his readings crack me up every time." What are you talking about??

This episode really disappointed me mainly because the previous Adam Scott episodes were stellar. He and Saucerman have such wonderful chemistry, so my bar was set high. I was bummed to see that Adam had to share with two other guests. Not characters, mind you, but guests. I love Parks & Rec, so in turn I have to acknowledge that Harris and Chelsea are brilliant writers. However, in my opinion they did not contribute much to this episode and even detracted from what could have been so many hilarious Adam Scott bits.

Hey Scott, I think you should take mushrooms.
-
Kulap, I totally feel you on the red water bottle being in your green kitchen.
-
Ha, I want to hear Howard talk in a Russian accent more often.
-
No Paul F. Tompkins, it is not weird that you haven't sought out a Katy fucking Perry video.
-
It's winner. Please feel free to ask me for clarification. Otherwise, ask ya dad about it!
-
Brian, do it.

Completely irrelevant to your audience. WTF guys?
-
John Baer, couldn't have said it better myself.

Hey Tim and Mark Thompson - glad you're both familiar with the Irish goodbye. I didn't know it had a name until fairly recently, but once I was made aware of the phrase, I happily applied it to my shady disappearances at family functions. Are you both Irish by heritage?
-
Hey Howard, it's called an Irish Goodbye.
-
Ugh, phuck Phish. Scott was right on with his comment about it sounding like a Schoolhouse Rocks song.
-
Scott said "I THINK" he listens for work. He didn't say what Al's answer was. Howard is correct.
-
Haha, poor Howard. Seriously outnumbered in this one.
-
Steve, it might be a while before James Adomian make it back to the show at all - I think he just moved to NYC.
-
I love it too. Hasn't happened in a while. I was hoping he'd tell Todd to shut the fuck up each time he asked if it was Chuck Mangione, even though that alone made it hilarious.
