This movie was not screened for critics. I wonder how many wide release movies don't get screened to critics and end up with a positive rating on RT.

I don't think a bigger budget would have saved it. The plot was somehow both obvious and nonsensical and money wasn't the problem with Nick Cage's performance. That said, this movie is only really worth watching for Cage, once his character is no longer in the picture you're left seeing if it wraps up as predictably as you think it's going to.

So with this movie, they have done 3 out of the 5 nominees for the worst movie at the 1998 Razzies. The nominees were: The Postman (won) Anaconda Batman & Robin Fire Down Below Speed 2

Besson only wrote and produced it, he didn't direct it.

The dialog in Mamet movies always comes off more like play dialog than movie dialog. Even the amazing Glengary Glen Ross has its more play-like moments.

I always say that this movie was born out of a bet; the bet that the head writer couldn't write a movie script entirely of zingers.

I have not heard so many New York accents saying "Angela" since the last time I saw Who's The Boss?

This would be good for a Dec 12, 2012 episode

I stumbled across the trailer and thought it sounded HDTGM-worthy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rZmN3nuVvM

I agree 100%. MST3K takes care of the low budget bad movies, HDTGM has tended to be about bigger budget failures.

I also think I know where they got the idea from for Hermes in Futurama.

The Jaws game for NES now makes complete sense. I never understood how collecting conch shells connected to the movie when I was a kid, but had never seen this one.

I remember that they state that the agency JCVD works for thinks they have the only known time machine, but they still somehow have the need for a time-travel policing agency. Personally I think Double Impact would be a better one for HDTGM. Both JCVDs react extremely casual to discovering that they have a long-lost twin.

You would probably just think that they were sick

The good news for you is that Leprechaun in Da Hood is episode 22. -
I remember this movie was one of the ones they would play on HBO on repeat in the 90s and it was one you couldn't help but watch a dozen times. One of the most vivid scenes I remember from this is when Cosby has the meteorite in a coffee can and is using its power to throw around the bad guys while making his "Cosby face"

The Happening. This has to happen some time. -

Gothika - From what I remember this movie is about as scary as someone yelling "boo" and the twists and turns make about as much sense as a later M. Nigiht Shamalan movie. And speaking of which... The Happening - Nothing more needs to be said -
Hey it's the guy from the Alien Nation TV show.

Yeah, and I was around the same age as when I thought Batman Forever was a good movie.

If this was a 3rd Snake Pliskin movie, would that have made it more enjoyable?
