  1. Eh, I don't think anyone "hates" Pete. (BTW, that was me who said he constantly brings convos with his guests back to himself and his own eccentricities. For an interview show, YMIW is surprisingly all about Pete. But whatever. Same thing could be said for Maron at times.) I feel that so-called "comics" who aren't funny, aren't collaborative and are actively grating need to be called out. He's self-admittedly egocentric (Chelsea clip, hilarious) Apparently some people like him; I find nothing to like. Not trying to beat dead horses. Anyway that's all I got. CBB rules.

yeah, its why people can't stand kevin pollak.

  2. Jesus Christ, so this is the new hate episode huh? I like how everybody just blames Pete Holmes for messing stuff up. Gabrus, Scott and Pete were just being wacky and having fun, that went a little far and Pam's character got the shaft a bit (not from Kyle or Pipe though). Big deal. That has happened in other episodes.

Pete is just having fun and laughing with other comics. He's being who he is, loud laughing, bad impressions and half-bits being thrown around.

Also to whomever that said You Made It Weird always comes back to Pete, who the heck else is a one on one interview supposed to go back to? He talks, the guest talks, he talks, the guest talks. It's a conversation.

Lighten up people, the episode was funny.

im sorry a famous comedian likes riffing on a comedy podcast.

  3. Honestly, it's more about Sanz coming up with these convoluted backstories that he simply doesn't even try to keep consistent - and Scott (and Tim) bemusedly pushing him into corners, and him weaseling back out. I was in tears by "Beef Done/Over/Finished/Completed"

adomian is funnier, but sanz/daly are more creative

  4. 70% on rotten tomatoes.

    Bill Simmons loves this movie.

What a title. Maybe one of the best four or five ever, right up there with "Fatal Attraction" and "The Longest Yard." You should also know that "Virgin" featured the best soundtrack of '80s songs other than maybe "Valley Girl," as well as one of the all-time great "teenagers trying to get laid at a brothel" scenes. And it has some legitimately funny moments.

More importantly, there's a remarkable love triangle here featuring a lovestruck high schooler losing his dream girl (the girl from "Better off Dead") to his playboy buddy, who knocks her up, then dumps her, leaving Lovestruck Guy to pay for the abortion. She moves in with him -- because his parents are away, since this is an '80s movie and all -- and eventually he gets some pity sex out of it.

But you know what's coming ...

  5. You clearly didn't like it. That's cool. All I can say is that I think PFT's performance was funny and that I absolutely feel that he captured Thicke's personality. It's a successful impersonation in my book.

there wasn't too much thicke-based humor, per se. "pains" was good. the theme songs were good. rest was just paul being funny.
