    I'm sorry, but if anyone comes off as 'too cool',it is Tim and Eric themselves. How can you say that it was Adomian? He was trying out a character, and they were not into playing along. They suck.

     

    1. Tim and Eric weren't playing along. Was Scott playing along? No. He wasn't either. Because he couldn't either. Because James came blasting in with an aggressive, shouty wall of nonsense. He came in with flailing, formless lunacy. He gave the other three nowhere else to go because formlessness gives other people nothing to engage with. He gave them no thread to grab a hold of. In the lingo of a little thing I like to call "Improv" James gave them nothing to "yes and".

     

    Like I said earlier, I'm a big fan of James, but this time, at least in terms of "normal" improv, he misfired. The nonsense and energy was still impressive in its own way though.

     

    2. Acting like a child by insulting Earwolf guests is not the work of anyone whose opinion will get any respect around this classy joint.

    I thought Beverly and Ronna were fun but I thought Tig and Scottabot were magnificent.

     

     

    E.g. at (33:27)

     

    Tig: She said I'm like a robot.

    Scott: I heard that. We're in the same room.

     

    Scott: To answer your question, is it a good marriage? I think we have a fantastic marriage.

    Ronna: Do you think she thinks it's a fantastic marriage?

    Scott: I'm not so sure, we don't talk.

    Tig: Can you stand her?

    Scott: I can abide her, yes.

    Tig: Do her feet smell?

    Scott: She's got dirty knees.

    When Tig is singing and Scott says hilariously, "Just five more minutes," and Tig sings on and then Scott says, "I'm really going to have to stop you ..." and then I'm thinking, "Aww, you're messing up your Five Minutes joke by not staying committed," and then he continues, "... in five minutes" and totally schools me for doubting him.

    The white text on dark vs black on light thing is never going to make everybody happy.

     

    For me white text on a dark background is easier on the eyes because there's so much less light flooding out of the screen but I've heard several other people say it's harder on their eyes than the glare of a white background.

     

    If I didn't know any better I'd think not all humans are the same or something.

    I think when Jimmy is called the Godfather of Podcasting it's mostly a playful throwaway line and people aren't disrespecting the true pioneers of the game.

     

    Speaking of which, why not hunt down the "real" "Podfather", Adam Curry, for a Wolf Den? There's a guy with a few stories from the trenches of not just podcasting but setting up a podcast network.

    I thought I already posted to say how much joy these episodes inserted into my life but I guess I was wrong.

     

    So here I am now saying that I loved them more than life itself and they made my holidays even happier than any number of clams.

    I would love to hear Scott Okerman and Nick Aufferman do some more of this again one day please. So nice to hear award winning podcast guest* James Adomian working his magic again too.

     

    * I'm not even making this up as some kind of fanciful compliment. Word on the street is James has literally won at least one award simply for being a splendid podcast guest.
