Hi forum people I was really funny at work today and made everyone buss up laugh their whole butts off. I can't tell you what it was about because it's not funny now, but trust me, at the time y'all all would have been like "woah what happened to my butt" and I would have probably made a real good joke about bbq because homographs and I was on a roll (like margarine).
Â
That always feels very good, and you know what? I think it's OK that you want to share that good feeling with us after the fact, and I'm going go so far as to say "good job." It's frustrating trying to recapture that feeling later, even though you want to relive it. I get it.
Â
I can't in good conscience laugh, of course, You understand. But good job.

I hear you got invited to join Foo Fighters. Speak on that.
Â
Yeah they said they needed a guy that could play that one Blues Traveler song. No one else in the band knew all the chords.
Â
I had to quit when Dave Grohl slapped a calculator out of my hand (I was calculating my $-per-chord ratio--pretty nice) and he said I was relying too much on technology or something and that real music came from the heart so I was like "oh yeah??" and I showed him that they have songs on the internet now and he cried and quit the biz
Â
Â
Big discrepancy in the number of likes between these two posts--classic situation of traditional stats not telling the whole story. Chanson should be credited with the same number of likes that Andy got, like assists in hockey. Or else we need to create a whole new stat for joke assists, which would get pretty messy. Engineers, is this within your purview? Keep me posted on your progress as you make the reforms.

Maybe I will, honlads. Maybe. I. Will.
Â
but first, WAFFLE TIME:

Â
Pretty sure that's just those square Cheetos but you washed off all the orange. Nice try, asshole. Gotta get up pretty early in the morning if you want to fake-waffle old Mean Detective.

i see there is a bit of a culture shock for hh people and they're lashing out at the cbb posters who are, understandably, used to a higher level of discourse. i apologize on the behalf of everyone who has flooded this forum with rote catchphrase gimmickry.
Â
let's try to get things back on track: i haven't checked the pictures, but there was a funny woman guest on this episode and she might be attractive...could be fertile ground for the type of deep textual analysis this forum demands. anyone out there got a crush they wanna share???
Â
OHH SHIT SON OMG I DIDN'T WANT TO ENGAGE IN ANY BACK-AND-FORTH W MEAN FORUM GUYS BUT THEN I SAW THIS INSANELY SICK BURN & LITERALLY JUST BECAME A PROFESSIONAL HYPE MAN IN MY OFFICE, TOOK OFF MY T-SHIRT & STARTED BEATING IT ON THE FLOOR LIKE AND1 MIXTAPE SHIT

This is a pretty nice forum you have here. Nothing special, but it's fine. Pretty silly name for a radio program if you ask me, but hey.
Â
So what, you guys do comments and stuff or what is it that goes on here

My perfect episode would be an hour of silence punctuated periodically by Hayes trying not to laugh.
Â
Â
strongly agree. probably just forget the other suggestions, actually. just do this

Everyone's upped their games with specific timestamps and careful episode references. So I guess I'll come back later and edit this with such info? I mean probably not, wtf are you guys all big computer-heads or what jeez it's like everyone here works at Google
Â
I did, however, read through everyone's recommendations, so I don't think I'm repeating anything. If I am, by all means send a PM about it to MY REAR END.
- Dave Holmes ep - Who Watches the Watchmans - "mean detective" origin story: "you don't want this mean guy mad at you like that--he screeams! And he just about crashes out of the TV!"
- Kanye throwing a spiral, croquet mallet, hitting the dalmatian
- The DJ from the Jersey Boys bit, who sounds like a cartoon alligator
- "A Day in the Life" bits - Alexander Payne is good, but especially Kevin Smith ("is this good?" and how fat he is)
- Sean's voicemail for Sam when Sam pulled a powerful move & showed up late
- In the Aukerman/Ulrich ep, talking about how Seth MacFarlane is actually a smart science guy
- Adam Devine - when Hayes is like "and you're a little boy" (there are lots of Hayes moments that are similar in tone)

Brett doing teaser freezer
The part from the end of scott+jeff's up where one of the lawyers talks about his alma mater Primpton
Those both made me laugh so hard I thought I might go to the hospital
Â
strongly agree for both

OH, lots of Kumail ep bits. Especially when he says "it's a guy?" about the Monster, Sean's favorite superhero

hello team,
Â
if hayzie bone and clem dawg were putting together a "best of" episode, what are some clips or segments that you would want included?
Â
also, no pitch perfect 2 spoilers in this thread, please. hayes is still working his way through the first one. said he only needs "like 4 or 5 or 6 more nights."
Â
off the dome:
- Adam Devine - Heat rocks, villain
- Ben Schwartz - "you're a good compliment acceptor" (& the singing duh)
- Grace Helbig - "this is how you end?!"
- BJ Novak - spiderman story, whole friggin thing
- Brian Huskey - pilot read, whole friggin thing
More to follow. PEACE

One of my best friends has MS and it's actually NOT a funny prank for professional clowns to be making big jokies all the time.
Â
I'll give you guys the BotD (benefit of the doubt) and assume that maybe you read something in a rude magazine about how edgy it is to make jokes with sad diseases. I guess for the twisted minds over at Cracked.com, e.g. Andy Kneis, neurodegenerative disease is the hot topic for goofs and gags. I thought you were better than that, but now I see that I was sorely mistaken.
Â
Maybe you thought that I was better than to rehash this tired old "righteous indignation" forum bit, so I guess we've all learned a little something about disappointment today.
Â
So: I'll be canceling my subscription, etc., etc. Then probably something where I say "ehh wrong," then I talk funny like Sean, maybe make funny pretend photo with like Microsoft logo (bc MS), draw picture of forum guys, then I talk about old forum joke.
Â
k ilu guyz byeeee
Â
Â
P.S. Uh, supervisor Josh in Chicago? She knows him and he's very cool? Uh, yeah, I'll let you do the maths ("maths" s/o to honlads & Andrew).

To: Mean Detective
Â
I hope you like it!
Â
Â
Like it?! I just gave it a big old smoochy right on the screen and now my phone is all blurry! So uh yeah, I think I like it!
Â
I especially like the ambiguity as to the source of the exclamation. It might be doggy thinking, but then again it might be detective, and isn't that an odd thing for him to be thinking about himself. Like he's got a lot going on in that noggin. Kind of like somebody else we all know, hmm? (me)
Â
(for real amazing, thank you!)
Â
Â
Here's my attempt at a mean detective. WARNING this photo is only for true MATHS NERDS!
Â
Â
OK I get it:
Â
(Inspector Gadget) + (Stringer Bell) + (Blue Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robot) + (banjo guy) =
Â
[Telescope arms] + [streetwise business acumen] + [machinelike perseverance] + [sweet bluegrass licks] =
Â
Me, bc I have all that stuff. And what, I guess I'm on a seesaw or something? I don't get that part but good job overall
